Az Billiards Picture System Has A Problem

The picture system has a problem. Who do I contact to notify this to? It's not just me but other members also can't get pictures to upload. It says unable to move or copy for upload. I attempted to upload pictures as a test that I put up a few days ago and same problem so I know for sure it's a system problem.

www.photobucket.com has me back up and posting pictures here.

Thanks,
Josh Hillard

I had the same problem, earlier. Just decided it wasn't worth posting the message and went to do some chores, instead.

Had the same problem trying to change my avitar. Sent Mr. Wilson (moderator) a PM two days ago, he asked for a copy of the message I was getting, sent it to him, no response yet.

Just heard back from Mr. Wilson.
Here is the message I get when I try to download an image:

Unable to move/copy file

Here is Mr. Wilson's reply:

That sounds like a permission issue, from your puter....not really sure

So...what's going on??

I emailed the adminstrator, he said they were having some problems and they were trying to fix it. Wait and try again later.

I have had the same issue. 3 different computers, PC and Mac, same message. I am sure they will get it working.

Just to let everyone know, NOBODY has been able to upload pictures onto AzBilliards forum via the MANAGEMENT ATTACHMENT button since it was moved to the new server.

Hopefully, this is just a glitch of the new server and may be fixable, but I don't know for sure.

In the interim, you can open up a Photobucket.com acount, upload your pictures to your Photobucket.com account, and then copy-and-paste a link from Photobucket.com into the message window. It is long and drawn out, compared to the way we used to do it, but it does work.

Hope this helps.

Here's a picture of the World War II Memorial in D.C. that I am posting here via Photobucket.com. The memorial has a column representing each State, all the territories, and District of Columbia, which was a pleasant surprise.

Wow now I know I am getting old I just noticed your change in avitar. My wife was asking about womans tourns and I said look for Jam and ask her, her pics beside her name and I described your old avitar. She said she looks like a dog and I said no way and she said yes she does and I looked and you have the dog on there.Man I never noticed the change just reading the posts.I need too see the eye doctor or brain surgen .Thats prob been on there a while.I am getting old I can tell you that man.I looked through a couple of your old posts that I had read that were of interest and it has the dog as the avitar and I never looked.Yep time for me to see the doc.Hope you get the pics thing fixed but I think the photo bucket thing is just as easy. You guys must use alot of space for all the pics we have posted on here of cues.

That's funny. Thanks for the morning chuckle! :D

So, since I get the same "unable to move file" message...I'm guessing the problem isn't fixed yet. Makes it hard to sell cues with no pics.
Someone please fix this.

Just sign up with some cheap or free photo hosting service. You do not need to upload to AZ to post photos, you just need to upload to some web site that will host them, then attach them here.
There are many, like:
http://www.villagephotos.com/
http://photobucket.com/
http://imageshack.us/

or if you are willing to pay for more enhanced services, there is
http://www.smugmug.com/

If you are in the business of selling cues, why not set a photo 'gallery' up where you can host a variety of cues, which of course would also serve your current needs? AZ owes you nothing, right??

I am having the same problem. I can't post bmp or jpeg files. I'm getting the same message.:(

The picture problem has been quite a while now.

It would be nice to know if they plan on fixing the problem or if we should all go ahead and set up alternative methods of posting photos. I know that Mike recently changed servers and things were suppose to work faster. I have not really noticed a change in that either.
Not complaining! The forum is still great just wondering what's up?

Like others have said - sign up for the photo hosting sites. It only takes 2-3 minutes. You upload to photobucket, get the link for the picture, put in the post and its there.

I've been using PhotoBucket for a couple of years, now. I've posted a couple of things here through them.

You don't need to join a photo hosting site

In the past instead of actually uploading, I've just linked to a file on my computer using the insert image function i.e., c\MyPictures\photo1 Haven't tried it in a while though.
