Bad Joint Protectors made by Lonnie Wilber, he will not refund? what would you do?

I did nothing to "piss him off", except tell him about all the problems with the work that he did. Perhaps he doesn't take criticism well. At any rate, that's great that your cues worked out for you - congratulations.

You can get off his hi-jack concept lady...my post has everything to do with this thread. If anything, you're "hi-jacking" it by engaging in debate with me. That being said....debate over. Good day.

And now back to our regularly scheduled thread topic.........

I gotta agree....them some really awful j/p's! If you can't get your money back, you could always use the female j/p's as pocket markers!

wow! those were really hideous looking...
but to this guy's defense he states in one of his other auctions that he's handicapped and makes these things (i refuse to call them joint protectors :) ) just to stay busy. can't really help but feel a little sorry for the guy.

Well he states in his other auctions:

They are hand turned ,polished and fitted , These are very high quality , and always have a guarentee as to fit and guarenteed to never come apart or to split . I want each and every customer to be happy with their sets .

SO SAVE and buy directly from the man who makes them !!!!

I use solid woods Kiln dried to less then 10% I am handicaped and do this to stay busy. So quality is very high ! Guarenteed fit !

Also I guarentee fit so ever a problem I will repair OR replace the set.

That is outstanding that he wants to stay busy and do something meaningful and productive with his time (there are a lot of non-handicapped people that don't do that), but this wasnt a $10 set of joint protectors, he charged Hornet almost 6x his normal selling price for them. Point work aside they do not fit as they should.

If this guy had added pictures of the JP's in question to his video then it would be a different story, however I am sure he too knows they are crap. I would just ask him for a refund less his shipping charges for the two sets he has attempted. Or even just a partial refund?

I wouldn't even bother trying to get another set from him if he thinks shipping something like this is acceptable. Get back as much as you can and...THEN CLEAN THOSE WHITE STAINS OFF YOUR KEYBOARD!

Please post at least one pic with one of these beside one of Chad's!! We can all use a good laugh...... :p

They look like chocolate-dipped ice cream cones left in the sun.

You paid via PayPal. File a "not as described" dispute via PayPal's Resolution Center.

Hopefully, you funded that payment with a credit card. If you don't have your money back via PP within ten days of filing a dispute, file one with your credit card company.

Last resort, and probably good only once, is to file a fraudulent ACH transaction claim via your bank, if you paid from your checking account. Banks are very familiar with PayPal disputes. Most will give a customer at least one "courtesy" reversal of an ACH charge if you tell them the merchant sent you defective merchandise and refuses to refund your money.

Hey, will they fit a Meucci?

I've got an old unmarked Sneaky Pete, that I would put in the joints.

Let me know
BigDaddy

But I don't think I would pay $35.00

these are a 3/8 ten pin joint meuci are usually a diiferent joint. if you put in the joints yourself they would need to be 3/8 10 pin joint.

Sorry to hear your misfortune! Good luck with the claim! You wont be dissapointed with Chad's work (CAM Cues). ALL of the cues in my collection have matching jp's made by Chad. Link to cue collection!

I think they are great as protectors! If you put your cue in your case with the joint protectors facing out, your cue will never be stolen. The minute someone attempts to pull your cue out and sees the JPs, they will slowly push them back in and leave your's alone.:) Those are the worst I have EVER seen.

I think they are brilliant, they would be more effective than a sneaky pete for drumming up action in a poolhall, just make everyone aware of what you paid for them and they will think you are bound to be easy money.

Yeah- I kinda feel a bit sorry for both parties here.

Man, are these for sale? I just recently purchased a Frey sneaky from a fellow AZ'er Chenz and these would go perfectly with it. Let me know.

J/K. those jp's are hilarious. :D

Actually, I apologize for my previous post. The best course of action here would be to get ahold of the SpankysBilliards guy and have him run a raffle for these... Since you will still have them after the raffle, you could then attempt to get a full/partial refund from the master craftsman.

Did Shorty's brother make these???? J/K man those jp's are very bad.Maybe the disable guy who made them is blind...Or maybe has no hands because those things look terrible...   I will never buy cue any thing off ebay any more...
