selling a cue in here is all about cover your @ss.
good pictures= people believe in what they see ,
good discription= direct word of the seller
packed properly= is better than filing a postal claim
fast shipping.= less time for somhting to go wrong

take no chances insure and pack the cue like it is going to war.

there is 3 things that will cut down on this kind of problem.

1 a rule that everyone selling a cue has to have a return policy listed even if it is as is, it needs to be listed as such.

2 if you want to buy a cue with a return policy and the seller doesnt give a return policy . DONT BUY FROM THEM.

3 start a thread asking if this person is honest.
are they good to deal with.

how long they have been a member
how is there i trader rating
who are there friends.

im sorry none of this will help you get your money back.

wow, really?

This site is not about "refund policy's" or any of that. This is a place for all people who share a love of the game, pool, to meet up converse to get advice have a chat, and buy or sell items with good intent and hope to help one's game. We help each other.

It's not a cut-throat business here, and anyone who feels they are this way should not partake in azbilliards forums. It's sad that we have to question ourselves and have complete proof in order to buy or even sell (fake checks ect.) I love this game and have a serious passion for it and anything it brings with it, if anything you would think a fellow player would try and support the fact that they are helping a player up their game or possibly get them serious with it, I spread pool to all my friends and family.

These issues just make future players, and starting players on here feel that it is not safe, maybe they should stop playing. I know I never will, however if anyone would make a player negative about az or sellers, why would they want to play, they would think "this is the type of people I will be around all the time if I play". It is very upsetting, its hard enough to keep this sport as popular as it is with a narrowing amount of halls around, with out these people.

It leaves a bad taste in my mouth to even have to use escrow for an order over 150, where did the trust go on this site? Escrow is a great offer, but it should not be necessary for a cue from one player to another.

This guy INCOGNITO, will get what he deserves. Even if he truly felt that the cue was sold in the best way possible and felt he was fully truthful...To spend around 700 for a cue, you should not have to worry about if the butt is warped! I could understand the shaft, but the butt too? there is no way it could have warped within shipping, unless it came from the south pole to the Philippines, then maybe some warpage. I believe he did not check or knew and did not see it nessicarry to share this as it would bring the cost of the cue down.

Karma- what comes around, goes around...

make this right, because even if it was an honest mistake, I can assure you that no one will buy or even sell to you now, I know I wouldn't. You have to be over the age of 17, so be an adult, and talk this out and make it right. I can not believe that it has come to this just to get what the buyer is owed..

Good luck vinny, I hope everything works out for you..I feel for you, I personally have had a bad experience too.:shakehead:

return policy

In this case a return policy would of been worthy 700 cash and all the heart aches.
i agree this should be a honest place to buy and sale cues.
but there are scammers and it really seems no matter what or where we are we need to cover our butts at all times.
every person selling a cue in here needs to expect that sooner or latter some one isnt going to like the cue. and at that time the seller needs to make it right or there will be problems like this.
i was only thinking of future problem and how to stop them.
this problem is already a forest fire.

mike- in your previous post...I agree, he is due the money, and I know there are many scammers out there, no doubt about it. I have no remedy to this situation and it keeps on growing as long as scammers know we pay good money for cues, and there is a demand to buy and sell it will continue to get worse slowly. this is why I said what I said before, its annoying, and its just a coward thing to do, just take money.

I dropped him a red bomb too. Hopefully he'll come to his senses and do the right thing.

V,
Sorry to hear about your misfortune. If I buy from somewhat newbies on AZ, I will only buy if I can inspect the cue before I pay. If that can't be done, then no deal. I hope you get resolution on this. I may have missed it, but how did you pay him? Take care buddy and again, good luck.

Obviously an individual with very low integrity.

I suggest a boycott due to his actions...

DO NOT BUY FROM HIM

DO NOT SELL TO HIM

He is obviously a degenerate within our society.

Troy, I might know somebody who knows somebody who can handle this! By the way i will be up there next week for another gun show lets go to the boat, tell your brotha!

Half of selling a cue is knowing exactly what you have and describeing it as such. This deal should be reversed and the buyer should get his money refunded. This community is just too small to make waves and it is not worth it in the long run. Life is too short....do the right thing

reputation

AZ is a small community of pool enthusiasts who like to try out different cues from time to time. Your reputation for honesty is the only way of being a member here. Without honesty, there is no way anyone will do business with you. Life is too short to go around screwing people. Troy I wish you success in getting resolution in this matter.

no problems with me

ZekeCv cool i didnt chime in for problems.

i guess the only way to fix this problem is for everyone to hound the seller untill he returns the money or he no longer hangs out in here.

every buyer should know the sellers return policy before they buy.
i think it should be listed with the thread.
at least the buyer would know up front what chances they are taking.

i just bumped his post to 1st page

MY red bomb fixed the green issue....

Good luck in getting this resolved Troy,
Chris

I usually don't get involved with issues such as this. However, having personal knowledge of how Troy conducts business, I am compelled to speak up. I have done transactions with Troy in the past and he has ALWAYS been true and honest beyond any doubt what so ever. He is probably one of the most trusted people on AZ. The jerk that sold this cue under false pretense needs to have it placed where the sun don't shine.
It pisses me off when this kind of thing happens because AZ is such a great place with so much knowledge and camaraderie, I just hate to see this kind of vermin infiltrate. JMHO, Steve

INCOGNITO,

Don't compound DUMB with DUMBER

Make the OP (one of the straightest cue dudes around) whole or you'll find the future here very unpleasant.

think about it...

IMO his future is just fine, he just stops showing up as ICOGNITO and creates a new identity just like my seller did when he sold me a damaged cue. He never signed in again since our disagreement. But I am sure he is here in another name.
