Bca - vegas - two weeks away

Two weeks and off to Vegas. I can't wait and can't even focus on work each day.

Fatboy - gas up the Rolls. I need a ride from the airport.

I think the TAR BAR is going to really change the whole Vegas experience and turn it more into a week and a half of pool action. With the players hanging out so close to the pool tables each day/night as opposed to the old Splash Bar, something has got to happen. I hope they got plenty of seats because this should be a busy spot.

JCIN - what kind of banners you got for the TAR BAR? The one's last year for the action room were the nuts.

Mark G. - how did the final numbers of participation come out?
 
I too am VERY excited. Every year it's the same way too. eat, sleep, and breath pool for a few days. With small children at home, I still play often just not for very long each time. It's nice to be able to really concentrate on pool for a few days. My wife thinks I'm crazy to get so excited about a pool tournament. But as eveyone knows... it's SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT!
 
Yeah, this will be great! I can't wait.

One of the stranger realities resulting from the fact that I play so much less pool than I used to is that there are many NY amateurs players whom I count as friends that I only get to see when I'm in Vegas. It's one of countless reasons I always enjoy the BCA experience every May.

Hope we'll manage an arranged AZB get-together at the bar at the Riviera.
 
Me and the wife are leaving Sunday (May 3rd), we are driving and going to take our time and see some sites and other pool rooms on the way. We check in the 7th and are going to play allot of mini-tournaments to get this old body in stroke.

I can't wait either. Adam is leaving on Sunday the 3rd. Myself, Margie, Ryan, Levi and Chad are leaving on Friday the 8th. All will be there until the 17th. Hope to hook up and meet you watchez.

I have been going every year and it is always the same. I get there and have a mad rush.....up all night, up all day...all the slots ringing in my ears. After 7-11 days i think, " man I will be gald to leave here". and then a few months later I am ready to go again. I am flying in on the 10th for BCA, but have been telling my wife I have been thinking of going a week earlier, cause the itch is too bad!!!! I am pretty new here, so I hope that I can meet some AZers while I am there. I am also looking forward to the TAR BAR, it will be close to the poker tables, so when I get knocked out I can see some action. (or get in some):thumbup:

If you and Nancy are driving... I may see if I can send another cue(s) with you. I may try to do some trading out there but i didn't want to check everything at the airport. I'll talk to you about it and see what you think

I can't wait to get there either!! I'll be flying in on the 8th about 7ish, so I hope to be in the pool table area or the TAR BAR by 9ish. :D

Is there going to be an AZB room this year?? Or is there any type of AZB meet and greet at the TAR BAR?? :D
 
cant wait to see everyone there im at the diamond plant right now getting ready to head that way and set up the event.see you all in 2weeks.

yes the splash bar was a joke as far as action.
all the players drunk and want to talk about action.
i had so many people say they would play.

The Splash Bar was next to the poker tables, which is no longer there. To the best of my knowledge, they still have the smaller, circular bar that surrounds one of the night clubs, which isn't too far from the poker tables. The TAR BAR will be down by the pool tables, across the hall from the tournament room.

I don't know about an AZB room but as far as a meet & greet at the TAR BAR, I hope a couple of things happen.

I hope that people ask TAR for permission since it will be fairly limited in space before they take it upon themselves to set up a meet & greet there. Second, I hope TAR says "no". They probably won't but one can hope, right? I say this because I would rather watch high dollar action than forum members playing each other for funsies, and again, because of what I'm guessing is going to be limited space.
 
BCAPL numbers

Watchez; The exact final numbers are still unknown - a lot of TBA's still coming in. But we have over 6500 confirmed entrants as of 4/11. I expect our total number will exceed 6900. (That is 200 less than last year. I do not know how many are in the 'pending files but it is possible we could end up real close to the 7100 of last year.

Our total league numbers are almost exactly as they were last year - right at 60,000.

BCA Vegas

Getting the car travel ready. Playing Scotch, singles and team for the first time in six years. Can't wait! I don't believe there is an AZ room this year. Mike H?
 
BCA National is one of my favorite tournaments to go.

It is the one time a year that I get to meet and hang out with old friends.

The poker game at the Riv is really good, if one has the time to play.

And Vegas has some of the best strip clubs in the world (honey, if you read this, that's what I have been told).

Great pool, poker games, awesome food, gambling, etc....What more can you ask for?

I'll be there from the 8th through the 13th. I'm hoping to spend a good amount of time at the TAR Bar while the girlfriend is busy going off in the penny slots. lol. I'll also spend a good amount of time avoiding Watchez so he doesn't kick my ass. :sorry: lol.
