Beautiful Fellini

Been watching that. We've seen Fellinis pretty regularly on Ebay recently...but not like that one.

That is a great case...and the label is in great condition too. Hmmmmm....as banged up as it is should the label be that nice? Makes you wonder. My Fellini is in much nicer condition outside, but my label is worn a lot more worn. Still very readable but thread bare in parts and dirty.

Could it be "refurbished" or relined? Or something else.......

Like I said, been watching it since it was listed and have looked as closely as I can at the pics already.

We are all waiting and wondering when we will start seeing Fellini parts from the storage auction a few months back....

The stuff is worth too much to just let it sit around.

I really like the tooling on this case!

Yowza!!!

Honestly I never thought a cue case could be considered sexy, but that baby rocks my boat! HELL YEA!! Love the patina and the aged look!!

Fellini

Looks like the inside tube is engraved. Possibly a name and address of the original owner. Interesting that the seller doesn't mention the engraving at all.

Appears to read:
Carl Dorten
2317 N. Hanlen (?)
St. Robert , MO
427-2407

Beautiful case though. Love the colors and tooling design. They sure put those veiners to use back in the day. :D

Yeah, I found it interesting as well. You would think they would mention it as it could lend provenance to the cue.

I thing everything looks just like it should. The body is a little scuffed and the tag looks a little worn, I'd say it's all original and not had any work done on it. I'd love to have it.

I don't much about the subject but I would agree with Rusty that the case looks original. I love that the latch is on the seam side. It also has Ann Gore's initials as the tooling mark. Seller should do well. Winner of the auction should have a really nice case.

Rik, if you're still looking to pick up your first Fellini, this might be a good one for you.;)

Wow that sucker is going through the roof! I know I couldn't get that for my plain Fellini....but if offered I wouldn't take it either. :D

I just realized why that label looked so good to me. That is the "second generation" label with the zig-zag stitch. Mine is the older one. Older=dirtier & slightly threadbare.

I think toward the end they actually glued the labels on. Anybody know the evolution of the labels?

That's one beautiful case and the bidding is really strong on it, as it should be. I'm sitting here rooting for the case like it's a race horse.

All sales final?
Nick :)
I did ask if the case was not as described, would they accept a return?
No response.
It is probably out of my price range now, but I don't often buy if the seller won't respond to a question. Often times I send a question just to see what the tone of the response is like.

Are you going to end up with it? ;)

Looks re-built to me as well, the interior shape does not look to match the exterior at all, nothing looks worn on the inside.
