The best quotes on AZB would be ones that you have repeated to someone.

I can’t find who said this but I have used it the most.
“Did you see that pocket move.”

Pushout, “I had a stroke. I had it when I came in, I KNOW I did.

I_Need_D_8, “My opinion is worth what you paid for it.”

Chilli66, "Time won't leave me as I am, but time won't take the boy out of this man" - U2

Can't recall who should receive credit:

"I was wrong once but I was mistaken". lol

"Of all the things I miss, I miss my mind the most"

Or the most over used line from the sale section....
"It hits a ton"!

Speaking of that...I have also seen the "It hits like a tank"

I never quite understood that one....Do you really want a cue that hits like a "tank"????

I like this one from Yogi Berra's recent graduation speech at St Louis University.

Give 100 percent to everything you do, and when that's not enough, give everything you have left

"You had better pray to god you play stronger than shortstop speed if your gonna woof at me, buddy" -Russ "Short Bus" Chewning, C Player

It's not much, but it sure is gettin' popular 'round these parts.

:p

I love it when someone is telling a story and they say,

"After that I couldn't make a ball."

For the life of my I forgot who posted it and I don't feel like doing a search, but this made me laugh hard....

"The older I get, the better I played"

Yogi had another calssic too: "baseball is 70% inspiration and 50% pespiration"!!

That still cracks me up.

It could have been me. It certainly fits.

Another was by a pretty popular player who said, "I am all about my knowledge, that is why they call me MR. "N".

If ever around Bobby Hunter to tellya about that one. He laughs like a child. It is worth listening to.

This was from Floyd Meyers of Denver, the greatest sweater who ever lived,

" he couldn't run out if you opened every door int the building."

Another of Floyds classic, "He ain't playing nobody cause he is so broke he ain't got birdseed for a cuckoo clock."

Most of the time I read the az threads, i'm at work.

So my fav is:

A bad day at pool, is better then a good day at work. -(sorry I can't remember who has that in their sig)

These quotes aren't found on AZ but.........

"I couldn't hit sand if I fell off a camel!" (myself after a poorly played match....LOL)

From my Grampa when he was alive and I was just a little kid learning the game and I thought I was the shiznit...."If a dog weighed 2000 lbs., he'd weigh a ton. And it takes a BIG dog to weigh a ton!!"

Commenting about the slowness of a table with nappy cloth......."Yeah, this table makes shootin marbles on moss look easy......"

Joe, glad you like my U2 lyric. I think that line is perfect for me, I feel young but my body disagrees!:D :o

I would have to believe that my avitar would hit like a tank.

Overheard at a pool match, "He can draw that cue ball better than most people draw with a pencil."

WillieBetMore, ".25% club."

Yeah Chilli66, the boy in this man is never growing up. Your quote rings oh so true. Eyes may not be what they used to be but the heart is still there.

For those who did not know it, The great Yogi once said, "If you come to a fork in the road, take it." Think about that when considering your options in a pool game.

JgPool, your avitar is a tank without wheels.
