I have heard that "Little Al" Romero, who works out of Hard Times in Bellflower, CA, also makes great SPs, but I haven't seen or played with one.

The two cues have nearly identical hits--the feeling of the wrap is the main difference. They are stiff but not out of this world stiff. I like the sound feedback. It seems clean and crisp, at one frequency like a good percussion instrument. There is quite a lot of feedback to the rear hand--in a good way to me.
