Best Hard Tip Out There?

You should have seen me last night. Whew! I mean, I don't know if it would be the best or not, but she was telling me it was.

Oh sorry, I should've read the rest of this first. I do apologize.

OK, I'm normally a soft or medium soft (Kamui) tip guy, but after trying a harder tip, I have to admit, I'm thinking of coming over to the dark side!

I'm wondering what you guys that play with a harder tip like?

I should also say that I'm looking for one that not only has some good feel, but most importantly doesn't miscue on every other shot.

Any suggestions???

Here ya go! The bestest!

Hi, IMO Wizard Hard and Kamui Med are the best hard tips I have ever tried. Super Pro seems way too hard, I will try Emerald and Black Kamui in a short wile. Hope this helps.

used to use only pressed champions in by gone years but now its pressed triangles(hard pressed in plumbers vice) only, hate layered tips

Layered water buffalo, used to be a med morri guy. Seems to hit OK and doesn't miscue any more than anything else.

Kamui Black Hard.

Miscues much less than reg Kamui II hard.

Keeps its shape, doesn't mushroom, lasts forever. I have been playing with one on my Rick Howard cue for 4 months and it looks the same as when I bought the cue. Still in perfect shape.

Personally, I believe that most miscues are due to a faulty stroke at the time and have nothing to do at all with the tip.

I have Kamui's, water buffalo, le pro's, etc. I have more miscues with a morri med. than anything I have.

I'm in the same boat as Dakota and currently playing the same tip,... I play with a 11.75 shaft. Does, or should that matter in choosing hard vs soft?

Thanks again for the input guys.

For those of you that like the harder Kamui tips, have you tried both the regular and the Black before you settled on whichever you liked?

Are kamui Layerd tips ? i Have to say i went back to water buffalo tips and dont think i will switch to anything else

Question, Im using a superpro right now, great tip, and I like it alot. The only thing is its just a bit too hard a tip for me. Those out there who have used one maybe you could recommend a tip slighty softer.

I don't play with a hard tip, mainly because I am too lazy to maintain it properly and, therefore, miscue too much with them. However, many of the players down home in Southeast Alabama swear by Sumo tips. Last time I was down there, Scotty Townsend was playing with one (and playing pretty sporty, I might add).

I now have Triangles on three shafts. I had a bad experience with them and didn't try them again for several years. At this time, for the money, I wouldn't use anything else. I've used Moori mediums and liked them. Even LePro tips are ok, if you get good ones. I agree that most miscues are caused by stroke failure. I've made it a habit over the years to try to chalk my cue after every shot and not use extreme english. Helps prevent miscues.
