Best Money Player Alive Today

Everybody keeps trying to figure out who the best player that gambles is. The OP wanted to know who the best money player is. Seems like that would be whoever has the best winning percentage. There's a good chance it isn't even a top flight player. Probably someone not known to the general public. You don't have to be a world beater to be the best money player. You just have to be real good at matching up.

I agree. There are many unheard of players that take the cheese home 85-90% of the time. They are match up artists, and they make it their business to know whom NOT to play. Many call them nits...I call them smart. Johnnyt

Thank you. I mean, um, yeah, I've heard about players like that.

I appreciate that you come on here and bark about playing. I actually do enjoy it. If you really want to be played why don't you post up a list of players you would like to play and how (like Chris Bartrum did) and let's see if we can get you some action.

I believe everyone here would like to see this list as having a "nuetral racker"

Damn good post IBA out of 180 this is the best he wont post a list he is the deffinetion of a woofer to a t. If he post a list like Chris did he knows people will be beating down his door to play. As far as 90% wins over the last 3 years  he is a lock artist it has to be his table his room he racks he shoots with a cue you shoot with a broomstick the list goes on and on. O dont forget he will not leave Florida either therfore he has everyone down there on his nuts hes not top 3 in FLA and he knows that:grin: Anyhow flame on Donnie!!

After Donnie got done with Warren Kiamco at this year's U.S. Open (they played at Q Master), all the filipinos crowded around the table and tried to figure out how Donnie was breaking the balls. They just kept breaking the balls over and over again trying to duplicate his break. By the way, Donnie broke and ran out the last six racks for 3K. I sat right there and watched the whole thing.

It was actually kind of funny, watching all these great players standing around and scratching their heads. And Donnie is the one who made them do that, not SVB or JA.

I know you did not quote me and were responding to the other poster, but I would still like to see Donnie put up a list of who he would like to play and the stipulations of the game. I would love to see a match come out of this.

Donnie, post a list and lets have some action

i think donnie plays real good.

i would be willing to play him but its tough.

even with neutral rack in say ohio hes going to be tough to beat anywhere.

because hes smart enough to rack good that does not take away from his ability.

hes one of the most talented out there .

I will take back the top 3 in Fla you got me there if you read all my post i have nothing but good usually to say about Donnie he is a great player and best in the US at rack your own. Im not on here to roast Donnie at all i know he played those players at the open because he said it himself that is the only place he will play outside of Fla:thumbup: As far as the Bowman coment thats not true at all Bowman said he would play Donnie even posted on here as well as Big Nasty from Tar but never got an answer back from Donnie i would love to see the match they are both great players. My only beef is he comes on here and chimes in saying he wins all the time for the cash and no one will come play him but who does he play who has he beat not talkin tourneys he should be winning if hes top 3 in Fla all im saying is go out and travel a bit he will find out there are alot of great players out there.

All true except if he were to play Corey "rack your own" on a neutral table, I still like Corey. Doesn't mean he would win though. Donnie CAN play!

I remember hearing this question years ago at a pro 10 ball tourney. They pointed to a guy who I've never seen before and wasn't playing in the tournament. They told me that he gives quite a few pros the 7 ball.

I'd make a bet that the best cash player out there is not on television and there's a good chance that you've never heard of them.

If he was a big cash player we would've had to hear of him. You can't be a player of champions and not be heard of. SO I WILL TAKE YOUR BET!!!

The many who are calling them nits are those who have lost money to them. Guys like that are 90% businessman and 10% gambler.

exact words of Buddy Hall

You can print my comments and show it to him. See what he has to say then. Oh and tell him I said Hi. :)

I finally had a chance to show Cecil (Buddy Hall) your comments, Jay. I asked him if he knew 'Jay Helfert' and he said yes, I told him you said hello. Then, I told him about this thread and mentioned the fact that we were discussing who the best money player alive is. His exact words were, "Oh!, I'll tell you who that is. Ya wanna know? ...." I said, "Yes!" He said, "It's me!" I laughed at the way he said that and realized how fortunate I was to be friends with an absolute legend at what he does. I told him about Parica what people were saying about him, and he also read some of the script from pages 6, 7, 8 or so from this thread and he says that's pretty much true.

So, there ya have it. Nice to learn something new about something I love.

Thanks for letting us know. Buddy is one of my favorite people, ever. He is a funny guy and great storyteller. True stories too! Ask him to tell you the story about his "John Deere" crank handle. He has to really like you to tell this story.
