Best Player in state - simplified and on track

I think this thread should be made into a new thread. there are sooooo much incorrect information its unreal.

Please feel free to list your updates. The original post and list was done over two years ago. Obviously people move and players get better. Any contribution will be updated.

Shorty doesnt live in Mass any more he moved to Kentucky

The best player in Mass right now has to be Nelson Olivera period for the cash or tournaments

Massachusetts - Tom "Shorty" D'Alfonso

I would also say, that when he is playing and practicing, Mark Ransom is right up there too.

I'd say this depends on the game. There are some seriously undercover and or older one pocket and straight pool players floating around MA.

For Wash. Again, Rich Geiler. He left all the players listed by the side of the road, in a tourney on New Years Day. Also, a pm to Linda C ... "Platisville"? Is that close to Louietown? Or maybe Fraynes Harbor? TOO FUNNY!!! BB.

Where's Danny?

Interesting that Danny Medina gets no mention in Colorado. Far as I know, he still lives hereabouts. He's got some miles on him, sure, but last I heard he was still hitting 'em solid, even if he's looking like the Michelin man these days.

Somebody mentioned JR Gay for Ohio. He is an incredible player in Ohio and definitely deserves to be in there. I used to watch him play years ago. Someone also mentioned Troy Frank, but he lives in Florida now. A good bit of the great players stopped playing in NE Ohio other than Frank Zuma, JR Gay and Tulio Antonelli.

For NC (where I live now) I would list Mike Davis, Mike Fuller, Ron Park, Brian Capps, Earl Strickland, Kelly Fisher, Allison Fisher, Gerda Hofstetter, Jeff Abernathey and quite a few others that I am losing my mind thinking about.

I have been very lucky when it comes to pool. I lived in NE Ohio when they had some of the very best in the state playing at their very best. When I moved to NC I apparently moved to pool central in NC where Tony Watson had his base and it bred a group of hungry ppl as well.

Elias Patrikios for Pennsylvania. His game has really come up in the past few years, and he's just started playing in more pro-level events. He hasn't cracked them yet, but I think with due time, he will begin to be successful in them. I also just found out his high run is 156 in straight pool. A good local player and he has a lot of desire to be a top player.
