Best Player in state - simplified and on track

OKlahoma: hands down, no question James Walden

notables: Shane McMinn, Joey Gray, Chip Compton, Caleb Moore, and of course Gabe Owen when he is in town.

WAshington: Glenn Atwell, Dan Louie, Stan Tourangaeu (he is here a lot, although he is really a Canadian), Mike Zimmerman, Todd Marsh, Rafael Martinez (he is living here now I believe)

notables: Eddie Mataya (up-and-comer), Jesse Allred (a sleeper shortstop with a break like Nevel), Pat Schumacher (bar table pro, took 2nd in men's Seniors in Vegas this year), our own UWPoolGod aka Todd Speakman (winner of BCA regionals Masters and I believe 2nd in Nationals) Todd, correct me on this

Me.....I am probably in the top 250 for sure..lol

It was 3rd at Nationals...Open division so not too glorius but was still a trek.

For Montana I guess maybe Jeff Boucher. At least I see him winning tourneys left and right in the OnTheBreak paper. Cole Dickson live there and still play well?

Iowa- James Baraks & Jesse Bowman.

both of those live in Illinois. Chad vilmont, whitey walker are the best currently. but if kucharo got right or don mccoy gets in gear they can give them a run for the money.

whitey doesnt play much but is a champ. don mccoy hardly ever competes but got 3rd in the dcc one pocket 2-3 years ago.

Please post simple response by quoting state and listing opinion. I am posting due to another off-topic post. I don't think this would be considered an action-knocking thread as these should all be well-recognized names. Anyway, here's the list.

A few from states with no name indicated:

Indiana - George Breedlove
Maine - T.J. LaFlamme
Maryland - Mike Davis
New Jersey - Teddy Garrahan
Rhode Island - Joe Tucker

Varney, since your from NC. Whose your top picks. I might add Sparky Ferrell to the list as well.

Tough call right now. Sparky indeed is playing well. BJ is always a threat to win anything too....but....you can't count out the gals. Kelly Fisher is really playing well & beating all the local talent. She beat Abernathy gambling and then 9-1 in tourney play...and just heard she beat the famous "Brady" playing even. And of course many believe the World Champion Allison plays better than her. I'd also have to include Chewy...Derek Leonard. Really hard to say at the moment...

I would take Kelly over Allison gambling. Johnnyt

I agree. Allison may have an edge in the tournaments...But I would take Kelly when the cash is on the light. B.J. and Sparkey....that's a tough call!
