Want to be sure you understand. I play pool with the guy from time to time. Do not consider him a personal friend. More of an acquaintance. I'll explain the difference if need be. I've seen his cue case. If the Jeff Forney I know was a cue dealer, he would make some attempt to offer cues to other players in person. You may be or are absolutely correct. Just think there may be two people involved.

One of my friends, a local Sheriff's Deputy, had his identity stolen on flea bay. Two years later he still gets angry letters about trans-actions he was not involved with. If you are aware of Jeff's partners name or his business, please PM me. She is also an acquaintance. If the two are the same, I'd really be disappointed. At least in my choice of fellow players.

There are others on AZ that had fair dealings with him. I only posted a COUNTERPOINT that I know to be FACT. That is.... How he treated the people in our BCA league and in the pool room. That is ALL I'm commenting on. It is NOT BS as you put it. We had over 50 people in our in house BCA league. None had bad dealing with Jeff....He and his girlfriend Toni were liked by all...
I Was finecues4u@aol.com and dealing cues nationaly before I ever met Tim Cole... findcues4u. He is a great dealer and I am NOT trying to deal off his name. I have traded cues since 1982.
If Mr. Forney has wronged you and others he should be prosecuted. Please go after him legally or in civil court instead of crucifying anyone who does not share your opinion.

Not crucifying you....just sounds like you're calling me and and those who have NEVER been made whole, liars. You using TRUE in the manner you did is the reason for the post.

Ya know, Sandusky was well respected and liked within the Penn State organization....didn't make him any less a boy-raping monster. People project what they want you to see.

The basic fact here is this: Jeff Forney and all his ensuing monikers are banned from AZBilliards for life, therefore he is not to be doing business here, in any fashion or form. He rarely, if ever contributed any content here....his main usage was sales. Defending him is pointless, he got himself banned here. He has had eBay auctions pulled for complaints as well. A few good experiences do not outweigh all the bad experiences and the people left un-whole.

If you are contacted by a Jeff Forney, it needs to be reported to the Admin ASAP.

Lyn.....he has never given identity theft or any other good reason for the transactions here. The only excuse anyone has ever heard was..."I mailed it."

Not picking on you at all....but there are new members here that may not be aware, and those are who he primarily preys on, since they are typically unaware of his past here.....this is the reason I resurrected this thread.

After reading the posts from cuejoey and finecues4u, we are all talking about the same person. I'm both mystified and saddened. NEVER knew he dealt in pool cues. As a slightly better than average ball banger, would have thought he would have offered me a "better" cue than my Schon. Never happened! Oh well. Please accept my apology. You DO learn something new each day!

FYI, looks like Jeff has a son with the same name. Possible he may be the culprit and not the senior? Just something to consider...

Jeff Sr as New Castle Gas check his iTrader! He listed one of the best made cues around & case around! Drove in person over 6 hours to meet me in person and was a man of his word!! Plain and simple .he told me the story of his son. Make your own judgement but no scammer drives in person to meet another who knows about the rumors and goes good on their word. He was a nice guy a fun guy to talk to and made an honest deal

The one thing that is bothering me is why did Sr not come and clarify, and clear his good name from that of Jr? I realize he joined in September, I believe....but I resurrected the thread about a month ago now...so there has been plenty of opportunity for him to read it. I mean, how do you miss a thread with your name at the top?

I do know that the history is some great smooth deals...and then the sting. Could be very choosey about his marks. Steve is known for his higher end collection, is quite active here and has no problem speaking his mind, and lives stateside. Perhaps he is looked upon as his good recommendation is golden...to later use to perpetuate another scam on an easier mark.

I cannot honestly attest to the yo-yo behavior, but there is absolutely no doubt that members here have been scammed and failed to be made whole. The constant moniker changes, with a sale ad listed shortly thereafter, still seems shady to me.

I am not convinced.

I purchased a really nice wraplessTim Scruggs cue from Jeff Forney and the cheap, Taiwan special in the pictures below is what I received. I had my postal carrier sign the cue I received so there could be no question about what I actually got from him. He first denied that he had sent the wrong cue and after seeing the pics told me I owed him $300 for ruining his cue by having it signed. By the way, the cheap P.O.S. cue he sent was badly warped. I finally got my money back from paypal but only because I had been lucky enough to catch the postal carrier when the cue was delivered.

I,for one, am not interested in hearing how nice and how honest Jeff Forney is. Pics are in the link below

I would hope the father would post and try to straighten this out and if it's the son behind all this I hope the father kick's the crap out of him.This needs to be cleared up before the police get involved if they havent already. It's really strange that the father has not posted anything yet.:confused:
 
I ran into the guy (jeff)at the Williamsport bar box tourney,and the guy is a big dirtball!Not the guy pictured in a few posts back!!This guy is in his 40's by the look of him and not much of a pool player.

I got my money from Paypal eventually back so I wasn't about to ruin a good weekend on a white trash piece of sh*t and most likely spending my winnings on bail.
 
I tried to buy a TS from him.

The Cue was on Ebay a few years ago. He was all for it until I said I was paying USPS Mail Order and had no paypal. He wanted to get paid paypal.
Funny when me getting no Cue ment him facing federal charges and not a paypal dispute he real quick like changed his story to I am looking at this Cue and have decided not to sell it.
If you hate your money you will love him all up.

Some Questions I have...

Just for the sake of clarity, and since I haven't finished my coffee yet this morning, please help me with these:

9BallKing: The wrapless Scruggs cue and scruggs case you just scored from the very recent az listing, is that the one you are referring to?

And, if so, is this the same cue you stated on this thread that you tried to buy back in 2011 but were unsuccessful?

Was the guy you met the one pictured in post 123?

And is this the same TS wrapless cue/case combo that Dannym says Forney ripped him off on in post # 68?

And then this probably the same TS cue/case that bubbaandthem says he was ripped off on in post #134, as well?

I'm trying to get a handle on whether this often sold and paid for, but never delivered, cue/case combo was known to be just that by whomever it was you drove to meet to do your deal. Trying to sort out was it the father or son.

Frankly, it's kind of hard to believe that father and son wouldn't *BOTH* have known about the history of rip-offs this cue was involved in. I mean, most folks don't take lightly being had for $2k so there must have been lots of attempted contacts with what I assume would be some overlap between father and son catching some irate victim's phone calls.

In any event, you were smart to do your deal in person. That's for sure (probably your knowing the history helped you come to that good decision). :thumbup:

Lyn, you said you have played with Jeff Forney for years and it's always been good. Was the guy you played with the one pictured in post 123?

And how about "finecues4you"; was the guy you dealt with who was also named Jeff Forney, was he the guy pictured in post #123?

Finally, if it was the same Jeff Forney that was in the W. Virginia pool hall, was he traveling there while still living in upstate NY (Watkins Glen?) or was he living in WV?

It would be nice for us all to know as much as we can about this lowdown thief.

Having the answers to the above would be very helpful.
