<<<Biggest Score Of Your Life>>>

I'll make this a two-part thread:Biggest score and the biggest loss you've ever had..and this is not limited to pool Btw.

I'll start it off...

Biggest Loss:I lost 15k backing Cliff Joyner. 10 on the pool table and another 5 dimes on the crap table(don't ask) my worst loss as a player was when I loss 4 dimes playing Al Mason even nine ball(I'll never do that again!)

Biggest Score:I played a street hustler 8 ball in a bar room about 10 years ago.I was there to play in the weekly tournament(that I would win the majority of the time)..well anyway, this guy is woofin' at me(after I won the tourney..tryin' to impress his girlfriend) saying:"yeah,he plays alright..but I bet he can't play for no big money"..He said it just loud enough for me to hear him.I said "you got me!!!"...He smiled(showing his gold teeth) and reached in his pocket and pulled out a bankroll big enough to choke a horse(I was licking my chops!!).. Let's play some! $200/game 8 ball?..cool...I only had 5 barrels(1dime) but I figured that would be all I need against this sucker..I proceeded to beat him out of 80 c-notes ..I should have won an Oscar for my performance..every game I played juuuuuuuuuuuuust good enough to win..I layed it down so good he kept talking about how "lucky" I was and how he could'nt believe he was stuck..He honestly thought he had a chance and that is the KEY to making a big score..

Afterwards he shook my hand and bought me a drink..I felt like I earned it!:) :)

I once won about 20 beer playing in Waskesiu one time, the guys who had the table insisted on playing for beer, not our idea and we shared.

I once lost $10 playing Lionel M., there was nobody else around to play.

I guess that makes me pretty much the greatest guy around.

Dave

I lost over $1300 twice (must be my limit) once in Billiards and once in 9-ball.

I can't say that I ever won anymore than $500 from any one person playing pool, but I had a lot of $200 to $00 nights over the years.

Now if you want to talk dogs and horses I've won over $1000 several times.
I won Over $5000 one afternoon at Belmont in NY and lost the whole thing that night at the trotters. Johnnyt

the most money i have taken out of the pool hall was 300. 220 for winning a tournament and 80 playing 2 sets with the 3rd place guy. iv never lost more than 15 bucks tho...im not much of a gambler as my job doesnt pay enough to risk...

I havent scored a huge amount in one night, but in one case as a teenager still, I had my eyes on a high end swiss automatic watch, at the time I couldnt believe spending over 1k for a damn watch. The bug hit me though-
in a matter of about a week to ten days or so I went on a winning streak , totalling somewhere around $1300 went into the jewelry store and purchased the watch...still have it today, and still very proud of my achievements, not bad for a 19yr old at the time!!!

Biggest "gambling" score was just under 3K. Wasn't really gambling as the guy matched up very poorly. Biggest loss of my own dough was $500 or so. It wasn't really gambling as I matched up very poorly.:o I will say that my favorite score was a $1400 win that started out at $5 a game even 8-ball on a big table and I ended up giving the guy the 5 out and the break playing 9-ball. It got to the 4 out and the break but the guy "ran" a set out without me so much as shooting at a ball before we adjusted back to the 5 out. I miss him...................:(

At pool, $20 is the most I've won and <$10 is the most I've lost. Not much of a gambler on the table or anywhere else for that matter. At the card tables I've lost around $1000 over the course of a long weekend (including meals and lodging). Best I've done to date was playing the slots at the Luxor. I needed around $1200 to finish paying for my pool table with $80 in my pocket. In about an hour and a half, I had $1400 and flew home. I did give a little back at the airport.

Here We Go!!

I purchased 100 wigets for $875 each and sold them the same day for $1,500 each.
I lost $200 at the track once.
Purdman :D

I turned 400 into 5000 in 3 hours at the craps tables in Lake Charles. One girl won me over 1200 dollars on one roll.

On the other hand, I've boosted my roll from 400 to 2000 and then went to dinner. I came back a little while later and lost the 2000. This took about 8 hours from start to finish. Luckily, I had already been comped a room for the night.:p

The casino can be really fun or really a drag. The dice decide.

Most I ever won was 8800 playing 2000 per game one pocket and 200 on the side with the guys buddy.

Most I ever lost was 2400 playing 300 per game nine ball.

I was in with a friend backing a very good pool player and we booked a 37k winner, that was sweet

So let me make sure I have this story straight. You were in a bar playing in a weekly tournament. I assume the tournament was at night. And before the bar closed, you were 40 games winner playing 8 ball & you weren't playing your top speed or run out pool everygame because you were laying it down.

score

Well as best i can remember i won 2500 of apachie indian in bremanhaven germany in 1971, and keep my scalp!!! when i was in the army. long ago!!!!:D :D :D :D

Backed a friend for 1500 dollar winner at 500 a set. I had half his action and he won all three sets. I won 600 playing once. Lost 1k backing the same friend. Had half his action again so I'm stuck 250 what a friend:p
I think I've lost about 300 -400 of my own money. Don't gamble too much anymore, just try to grind out 75-100 dollars a week spread out over a couple of guys. Basically pays the time and diet cokes. Incedently I play much better now than I did when I played 50-100 dollar sets, don't have any pipe dreams anymore.

Most I have ever won on my own merit was 1200 playing 8 ball on a very tight snooker table. We started out at 20 a game and he got his nose open and dropped the cash. I have made many scores in the mid to high hundreds but no other over a dime. I have backed quite a few games and won more than that but that was someone else's talent, I just supplied the stake.
