Blast From the Past

Hey, those pics are GREAT! Thanks for sharing.

Though I know who most of the players are -- I think ;) -- maybe we should provide the names of them for the young'ns who may not be familiar with a lot of the great players of this era.

Jimmy Reid sure was a handsome gent in those snapshots, and who is the lady with Earl Strickland, with a svelte David Howard standing behind them? Who is the African-American player shooting the shot? Inquiring minds gotta know. :p

Sweet pics, I really like Efrin's members only jacket. How old is Archer here?

Wow!!! Thanks for the pics!! I love the last pic on BFTP 3. Keith and Allen look like they've been at it for a while. Man Buddy Hall was a lot smaller back then.

I couldn't help but notice that one! Isn't that Louie Roberts?

Look at Buddy's thick red hair! These pictures are a blast from the past and quite refreshing to see, a pool-related post on this forum! :p

I'm pretty sure that is Louie, circa mid to late '80s. That also looks like Louie getting ready to shoot the ball out of the guys mouth.

Great photos and great post, any idea where they were taken? Time frame? Got any more? Thanks for posting them!

Great old photo's. Who were the 2 women plating? Johnnyt

Ewa Laurance (Mataya) was at the table and Vicki Paski (Frechen) was sitting. Thanks for the great pictures!

JAM, if I am thinking of the right picture, the woman next to Earl was the aforementioned Vicki.

after looking at those pics, I had to go look in the mirror...............

I don't look like I used to either; d@@n, I've gotten old !

3rd photo sign on the wall reads "not responsible for any accidents on these premises". LOL!

Nice pics Murray. Were you the photographer? Thanks for sharing them.

Tracy

No I did not take them. They were taken by a friend of mine named Jim Goodwin. He was friends with Rober Wier (the cue importer) and went to tournaments with him. I am going to work on adding dates, places and names when we have time to sit down together.

Thanks for everyones kind words about the pictures. I'm glad you enjoy them and I hope to add more in the future.
