I thought they both did a great job in the booth and both gave up tons of info about the game. Thanks guys. Johnnyt

Personally I thought that JJ did an awesome job. Cotton on the other hand seemed anoying and maybe felt that he had to one-up JJ at every chance he could. With stories or shot selection. I wished I could have just muted him.

Yeah I felt that way a little bit also. Not that he was bad just that he maybe should take a less is more approach sometimes. Jeremy Jones on the other hand was absolutely fantastic. He has a very natural way of speaking that comes across as professional and informative.

Jeremy Jones provided the best commentary in the history of TAR by far!!! His knowledge of the game is incredible. He desribes what is happening at the table so well and is always paying attention to what is happening. He always gave examples of what he would do and why almost every shot which is a great learning tool for any player watching. Cotton was a good sideman and was funny with some good input also. I am glad Jeremy played the lead role in the commentary, that was perfect!! I had the pleasure of watching him play at Hardtimes a couple of weeks ago and the 1 pkt clinic he put on Santos was scary!!! Great player, great commentator!!! Thanks Justin and TAR for another great show:-)

I really enjoyed both of them. JJ has a great knowledge of the game. The commentators can really make or break the PPV. Would love to hear both of them again.

Jeremy is the front runner for the Billy I. award for best new pool commentator! The ability to stay in the moment was great (given the level of play at times)... If he is available to get in the booth during a 1pkt match (maybe even with Billy) I think it would be a home run (US Open 1pkt???)

Cotton was solid and would take him over any of the more recent folks who have spent time in the booth...

As a nit -- Grady and Billy did TAR 1 (SVB and Corey) ((I believe that was TAR 1)) so can't quite give JJ best in the history of TAR (note the sig. lines) LOL.... honorable mention can be given to Shannon D. for his work with Billy during the SVB vs. Efren match, as well... THANK YOU TAR... look forward to seeing the on-line access this year...

The best yet for sure. Cotton needs to rein in his ego just a bit to be dead perfect but ill take that team as is any time. JJ was great and i was a bit prejudiced against him as his actual play is usually pretty damn boring with his preshot routine AWAY from the table.

Anyway great job guys.

I've been sayin that JJ was very very good in the Galveston event for some time now.

Glad you all agree.

Hopefully Pat Fleming takes note of this.

Maybe a little birdzilla will let him see the JJ reviews !

I liked the combo. One is kind of low-key, keeps everyone on track, and focuses on the table. The other is energetic, kind of chirpy, and is willing to digress (but at least it's an interesting digression).

Bobby does sometimes come off a little too competitive about it, like the constant "ok, you won a point on that call". But at least he doesn't come off as arguing and nitpicking.

I enjoy JCIN in the booth some too.

JJ is the nuts!!! 35 dollars to watch Shane, and Appleton, play 10 ball and get JJ's insight!!! Thank you TAR!

JJ and Bobby Cotton are a good commentating combo.

JJ has a good on air voice, timbre, and timing. He speaks simply about complex things.

Bobby is a great complimenting color guy. He certainly can play too.

They made it fun, and informative. There was banter, good natured one-upmanship, explanations, predictions and some situational tips.

I thought that there was a comfort level that kept them from feeling that they had to talk all the time. Choosing to let the game/layout speak for itself, rather than talk, at times was done pretty well too.

Hope these two team up again on TAR broadcasts. It was enjoyable.

ps: 'zilla' -I think you're right.
