I was running a camera and I'm not even sure wtf they were discussing. All I know is Ken told him maybe something could have been done after the shot, but not 10 shots later.

Regardless, Busty is one of the nicest people there are in pool, so if anyone wants to jump off the Busty bandwagon on that, go right ahead.. I'm sure there's many others waiting to take your spot:smile:

He was not on today, and he lost.

It's call shot.Bustamante was not calling a foul.The opening 1-ball was a tough cut to make but could have been played as a safety.Mr. Matchin shot without making a call,sinking the 1.Matchin runs out.After the game was over Bustamante stopped play for a moment to establish to his opponent that when shots are not obvious they needed to be called.No big deal as it appeared to me.This happened in about game five.Matchin eventually wins 7-3 I believe.

I think this is probably the best-case situation for what Busty allegedly did (talking to him many balls later). I don't think Busty would really shark anybody.

If this is correct then Bustamante was actually being very courteous to wait until the rack was over to say something.
 
Don't hate on Earl. Hating Earl is like hating indigestion, migraine headaches or hemorrhoids its just too easy and cliched. Busty is still one of my favorite players.
 
"Moves" are for people who need something to gain an advantage during competition when skill does not suffice. Does anyone here think "the" Francisco Bustamante would ever feel the need to utilize such tactics?

What was Mr. Matchin's reaction when Busty brought it up? Was he pissed? Did he react like someone would react if they thought somebody was trying to pull a "move" one them? Was he bothered the rest of the match?
 
Francisco had every right to ask this question of Jerry just for clarity in the future, although if he had any real doubts he should have (and would have) brought it up immediately. I agree completely with Ken on his ruling. After the rack is complete is way too late to raise any objection about anything. That said, I know Jerry and being asked a question like this shouldn't bother him in the least. He's an old warhorse who's been around the block and back a million times. Pretty tough to shark this guy. In fact I would venture that it's a mistake to try. Didn't work out so well for Francisco, did it. :rolleyes:
 
Mr. Matchin played well.Simple,solid and controlled.There is hope for us older guys.

Doesnt matter now Shane just double dipped Mr. Moore to win the 10 ball division. Hope this year Shane wins them all, and now i can go to sleep.
 
Man if that's all it takes to get people upset....could you imagine what would happen if those same people went out on the road to play? The friggin moves encountered are relentless and brutal!.....you would run out of friends quickly! :)
