1) The shafts have no nicks or dings as I used an OB-1 shaft with the cue.
2) I have no clue about the finish on the collar since I never used the shafts. All was well when I bought the cue and it's been in my case since then. Except when i test hit the new tips I had put on.
3) Shinobi asked for $100 not $50 originally.
4) You were rude and unjust about the whole situation that is why I never talked to you about a refund.
5) Anyone and Everyone from Texas that has seen me play with this cue knows I used an OB-1 while playing with it.
6) If the collar had chips missing in the finish maybe it was from the refinishing that JW PETREE did because I never even noticed it as the cue was mint when I picked it up..
7) I've sold several cues on here and ebay and this is the first problem I've had with it..besides the OB-1 shaft that I sold from a friend and was told it was new that I sold to Bill Porter. But that shaft was not taken back because Mr. Porter said he tried to take down the shaft..Hence voiding the waranty.
8) With a better attitude Shinobi I would have been more than willing to work with you..but you made it seem like you were trying to work me over or something..and with you saying the shafts had nicks and dings in them that just really pissed me off because I know for a fact they were clean.
I know one thing for sure. NOTHING leaves Petree's shop until its as close to perfect as he can get it, and IF anyone is unhappy, he fixes it. Period. When I bet on THAT? I got the nuts.

Like I said it was perfect when I picked it up and they weren't even used except when I put Moori tips on the shafts to see if I like the hit...The ferrels where to long for me..and one is ivory..didn't like the hit that is why I used the OB-1..I never even saw chipping on the collar, but I know that there weren't any nicks and dings in the shafts...I have a 4x8 spring loaded case that they been sitting in ever since..

I've written Shinobi and told him he can have his $50, but I'm still upset that he is saying the shafts were all dinged up and nicked because I know for sure they weren't..This cue was my pride and joy for a year and I took great care of it..

He'll get his freaking $50...as soon as he admits that there is no nicks and dings in the shafts because that it total BS..

wouldn't it just be alot easier to ask him to ship the cue back to you & give him a full refund??

I think that would be the best option if you wanted to preserve your credibility as a seller.

rackem zachem you should go packem - cause with your customer service skills - man oh man!

you said the shafts had to be in great condition cause you only used the ob1 shaft - and the only times you took the shafts out was to test hit the new tips you put on em - why put new tips on shafts you never used?

you said you had no clue as to the finish on the collar, since you never used the shafts - maybe you should have posted them as condition unknown -

you said If the collar had chips missing in the finish maybe it was from the refinishing that JW PETREE did because I never even noticed it as the cue was mint when I picked it up.. come on dude! think about what you're saying! why did you have em refinished to begin with? and how do you know it was mint if you never even noticed.

take a poll! if anyone comes across as rude and unjust its you pal

once again the ribdoner is right on - you might want to read his post again!

Thanks for the heads up Shinobi - hopefully this guy will wise up - but i wouldn't count on it

And everyone.......don't forget..........don't mess with him........

rack'em zach'em is guy is that ran Diamond Billird tournaments and nobody would come play there because rack'em zach'em acted badly to them all. rack'em zach'em also is guy that help to make diamond close out of business?
He not nice or smart person rack'em zach'em is.

I only have one point to make, you said that you put the shafts in the case and didnt play with them or touch them, fine if you say so,but if you overlooked and didnt notice the collars being messed up then how the hell would you notice the dings and nicks and not the collars?

I cant stand it when people are screwing people in the pool world! No wonder we get a bad reputation. Now I dont know either one of you guys, but that sucks to do that. If you dont have anyone to refinish the shafts for you send them to me! You pay the shipping both ways and I will do them for FREE! I will have more time in watching the clear dry than anyting else. Since I spray clear 2 times a week its not a big deal to take 1/2 hour to help a guy that got screwed. Let me know if I can help!

Rep for you

Please don't buy from this guy, he is absolutely untrustworthy!

Tom, I am sorry to hear about your experience with rack'em zach'em. I would never have ANY dealings with him whatsoever after my experience with him. I bought a shaft from him that he described as "brand new - never used." Here is a link to the thread he started to sell the shaft: http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=64590&highlight=OB-1

The lies he told in the thread were uncovered quite by accident. It turned out that an old friend of mine, Mike Haines, spends time at Diamond Billiards in Dallas where rack'em zach'em hangs out. I called Mike on the phone and he was able to talk directly to rach'em zach'em as well as the original owner of the shaft. The original owner had played with the shaft, had it re-tipped, and played with it some more (test hit???). Apparently, rach'em zach'em had never even seen the shaft and I think it was the original owner who shipped the shaft. As was said in the thread, the shaft arrived in a Fed Ex box and you could hear it bouncing around in the box as the Fed Ex man brought it up the stairs to my condo. The ferrule had plenty of chalk dust on it and had obviously NOT been cleaned as rack'em zach'em had claimed. I eventually re-sold the shaft for $90 on eBay and took a $60 loss. But what angered me the most, by far, was not losing a few dollars, it was being called a liar on a public forum. When his lying had been exposed, he sent me a PM that said, and I quote, "Sorry Bill, I had no idea." Of course, he never admitted anything publicly, as you can see if you read through the thread.

I have bought and sold several items here on AZ and have had absolutely no problems other than this one with rack'em zach'em. If he ever describes something as "brand new - never used," watch out!!!

How about you send me your full name address that way I can file terroristic threats against your lame but...I'm in the Criminal Justice Field, don't be stupid..
So am I....and I'm here to tell ya, sir....you're walking down a path that, for others, turned into a wire fraud complaint. Being in the criminal justice field, you should know that. Misrepresentation of items which are exchanged for monies is what we, in the biz, refer to as a no-no. If you're a stand-up guy, you'll do what's right. If you're a cop, you'll do what's right. If you're a lawyer, you'll do what's right. Even if you're a badge-weilding meter maid, you'll do the right thing.

Now, on to Mr. Smokey. You are in the wrong as well, sir. Both veilled or overt threats are equally inappropriate, and can be cause for action.

I didn't want to stick my nose in this, other than to wish Shinobi well...but this personal dispute exceeded the bounds of both legality and common sense REAL quick. Let the two settle up, as it sounds like they're gonna do, and keep things as civil as possible.

Happy Turkey/Ham Day, ya'll.

Mark
