Thought we had a clear understanding...I was apparently mistaken.
 
I'm going to add my thoughts on this very disturbing thread.

The seller should be ashamed of himself for misrepresenting his item.

But... It pales in comparison to the unsolicited threat of violence by poster smokey. First of all, you, smokey, do NOT represent the consciounce of the az community. We are NOT similar to the wild west.

What we are, is a devoted group of civilized pool enthusiasts. We look out for eachother, but at all costs, we remain both respectful and civilized.

It is my opinion that smokeys post is atleast as heinous as rackem zachems original transgression and mr Wilson should feel required to consider taking public action.

As many of you know, I am in the middle of a very brutal and ugly divorce situation. I cannot pay attention to my cue shop in any way right now. Anyone who has orders pending with me knows this and I have apologized emmensely to you already.

I find myself compelled to post here because I was made aware that my name may have mud over this incendent. I don't see any pictures of the cue and cannot tell what cue this is.

As I read this, I don't believe the buyer here is upset with me directly. I would like to know what cue this is, and what work I did to it that has been questioned. If any work I did was incorrect or inadequate, I would like the chance to make that right.

Just because it sits in a case, it should STILL be inspected. It's called QA. It's like having a 10 year old can of unopened Old Milwaukee... do u think it's still good? Sure food and beverages are not the same as cues. But c'mon, do the homework.

Mr. Petree, you have an excellent reputation here on AZ. I believe virtually everyone who has read this thread, and especially if they noticed that the seller has now been banned for six months, will conclude that the seller has a habit of blaming everyone but himself. I very much doubt that anyone will see you as responsible in any way for the problems outlined in this thread. And by the way, I am sorry to hear of your personal problems.

I think most here consider the source and that your good name and reputation are in tact. At least for me, it is. FWIW!

Believe me, this guy is not known for doing his howework. Cutting corners and twisting the truth is his M.O. and probably why he is now banned from the forum.

You have nothing to worry about my friend. I don't believe for one second that you had any fault in this situation. This Zachem guy is FOS. You are a stand up guy and there is no way your reputation is tainted in any way.

i have never met Petree or done any business with him,but i hear only good things and it was pretty obvious reading the thread that rack'em was just reaching at straws when he mentioned you.
 
Hey Tom sorry to hear about this, let me know if there anything I can do to clean up those shafts for you it's on me buddy.

I am good friends with Tom , we havent had time to hook up as of yet so I havent seen the shafts but if Tom says they were misrepresented you can bet the farm that they were.

There is no doubt about your credibility with me. Your work, communication and timely delivery were all anyone could ask for. Thanks again for an outstanding experience which actualy helped to correct someone elses blunder.

The short version is that he's possesed and speaks in tongues, the long version is convoluted but it involves DEREK DISCO, SVB, HITLER, NAZIS, JAY H., and is really beyond belief....:)

Let me get this straight.

Dude who has a history of being hard to deal with misrepresents a cue. He gets called on it and confirms his reputation of being hard to deal with. Fine, now everyone knows not to deal with him and that he is arrogant and hard headed.

He gets banned for 6 months. I agree whole heartedly. He deserves all the bad juju he has coming.

But.

A dude THREATENS HIS LIFE and everything is cool.:rolleyes: :confused:

Am I missing something here? Since when are threats of bodily harm over a $50 cue deal allowed? That is ridiculous in the extreme. I know which of the 2 concerns me more, and it ain't the guy who sends a nicked up shaft. It is the self appointed AZ executioner who will have his "people" make sure a guy "never returns" from Vegas because of something he read on a message board.

Smokey my friend you are so far out of line it is stunning. What on earth makes you think this community needs you to issue death sentences on fraudulent cue dealers? Everybody hates bad deals, but good lord, are you serious?

The threat of "never return" is just stupid. I hope you never have someone unsatisfied with a deal and have some random guy threaten your life.

Unbelievable.
