Can You Beat Yu Ram Cha???????????

I'd say 99.9% of the members here work for a living.

It probably would be more accurate to say that 99.9% of the members here HER AGE work for a living.

There are quite a few of us older guys/gals on here that ain't never gonna lift a finger again (for pay), me being one of them.

I practice about two hours daily at home. I shoot in two leagues (I get there very early and stay late). I play in a tournament occasionally. I read billiards publications. I read instructional books. I purchase and watch instructional DVD's. I watch hours of live streams/YouTube videos weekly. I have been to professional pool tournaments to spectate. I have paid for professional instruction (RandyG). I spend an inordinate amount of time playing/practicing pool and working to hone my game but I will never in a million years be able to beat Yu Ram Cha, Jasmin Oschan or any other top tier woman player in a race to 7 or more. You either have what it takes or you don't, and I don't. And I'd bet there are many others on this website that are fooling themselves into thinking they do! Or, just not wanting to admit to it publicly.

Id put my money on Donny Mills and John Schmidt against her, and lots of it. Yes, they both post on here....

I just got off the phone with a guy who was positive she would beat Oscar Dominguez (another AZ poster), but he ranked Oscar lower on the list of US men than I would have.

I think (maybe) its a thing to consider that we haven't (have we?) seen these guys play on tables as loose as they give the girls. I have been watching Yu Ram on the excellent stream from the Amway and she makes precious few mistakes and gets out a LOT.

Is it your opinion that in order to be a favorite against a female player of Yu Ram or Jasmine's level it would take a top-tier US pro, say top 40? No super strong short stops?

Thanks

Kevin

This sounds like a good "battle of the sexes" matchup for TAR...Cha vs Dominguez

blah, blah. Same old song and dance. You kept crawfishing about letting Kelly play Brian White.

Kelly and Brian can play. You all know Kelly's backer. If they make a game I will be happy to bet on Kelly.
Now try reading what I wrote. Did I say anything about Kelly being able to beat Brian?

In 14.1, Jasmine doesn't HAVE to lose to anyone. I watched her run 75-safe, 75-out at the world 14.1.

Well, you can't be that far off with the 95% of the "Members" of AZB, as there are 26,781 members. 5% would be 1,339 people could beat them even.

BUT, the number of people that Actually post on here is much lower. I'd guess around 1,500 people. That's saying there are 75 players on here that could beat them.

I would say that is pretty close.

Personally, I can think of 8-10 players from Arizona alone that post on here that could beat Cha.

I like Oscar vs. Cha Cha Cha, but I think the top women play better than most guys realize.

I've lived in Arizona for the last 14 years and I can't think of 10 residents that could beat her in the long run. Name them.

I've watched many a matches of Cha's and I'd estimate her to be ranked as a High 9 or possible Low 10 in Arizona. That's pretty high, but there are many guy players that play higher than that.

I'll let people speak for themselves.....

Chris Bartram, speaking for himself, says he's a favorite against Yu Ram Cha.
He also says, speaking for others, that Oscar would beat her.

Charlie Hustle says Donny Mills (who has played like a top-tier pro both times I've seen him play), and John Schmidt (who is very close to that tier himself) would beat her.

paksat maybe thinks he could maybe beat her.

Stuckart knows of 10 guys in his state alone that could beat her, but he's not naming names (and is apparently not one of the 10).

So far that's Bartrum, Schmidt, Mills and Dominquez that could beat Yu Ram Cha. Are they any others? Or does anyone (besides my phone friend) think the list is wrong so far?

Thanks

Kevin

Just for the sake of discussion, why not name them? They may not want to speak for themselves, either from humbleness or from not seeing this thread.

Because 50 people will jump in this thread claiming I'm Knocking Action, and all that bullshit. I gave the rating line, if you know the players here and where they are rated, anyone rated a 10 or better is a favorite, and many of the top 9's are even money.

Also, because people each rank their own games differently, I'll let them decide.

I'm a barbox 8-ball player, so I don't have a chance on the big table.

I could not beat any of the mentioned great female players. There are quite a few posters on this site who would be the favorite over Cha playing a rotation game its been proven time and time again in the pool battle of the sexes guys just break better and execute better no disrespect to the women its just a fact even when Allison was playing her best pool Shrimpboat robbed her with the six ball. Guys string togather more racks. There are a ton of posters on here that play jam up pool that are not even given accolades guys like James Roberts, Brian Gregg, Sam Kirby,Gene Albrecht, etc. The main reason why the women come up a little short gambling with top male players they do just not get the amount of chances at quality shots the they are used to. I would be willing to put many many pennies on a guy like Bartram playing 10 ahead 10ball against any woman in the world and he only plays sometimes albeit in streaks.

Not from Arizona but just when I passed through a few years ago I like Scott Frost, Mitch ellerman, Gus Briseno over Cha prob a few more I didnt get to see

She's a pro, and plays pool for a living. she has a coach, sponsorship, and all day to practice. I'd say 99.9% of the members here work for a living. I wouldn't expect many members to be able to compete.

If all things were equal, and any decent player were given the same amount of time and resources to develop their game, the percentage of members that could be competitive would be fairly high.

What he said...but I do have the advantage of beating her.....

In an eating contest......just barely though.
