Can You Beat Yu Ram Cha???????????

There have been a lot of good posts. I think the truth comes out if you read through the thread.

One more point i'd like to make. I remember having a short talk with Tang Hoa because we were in the same boat when it came to Efren a long time ago. We both got huge spots from efren (mine much bigger than Tangs), and we both lost. To give you an idea here... Tang got the 6 ball from Efren, and lost. This is a guy that made it to the finals of the US open. Do you know what Tang would do to yu ram cha if they matched up.... i mean my god... it would be ugly. Anyway... that is just the truth -- in short, an efren caliber 9 ball player (then not now) is capable of giving tang the 6, tang would roast yu ram cha even -- you do the math from there.

It didn't strike a nerve. Kelly has beaten other people dead even and you don't report on that. Also people who are good shortstops. Didn't report on that did you?

How about you and me make a game for Kelly to play.

Since you think she could get a "huge" spot and lose I will take the five out and the breaks and let her play any professional player on Earth a ten ahead set of 10 ball for any amount you want.

Efren, Orcullo, Bustamante, no one is barred. We have all read about top players giving up this weight and winning so since Kelly is not even as good as a "not good shortstop" then she ought to have no chance.

You set up the game and lets bet it. You have everyone clocked so you should rob me. I will go on your word as to the speeds of the players.

Now, I will be in North Carolina in a few weeks.

How can you and I play?

Sheesh dude, How the hell would I know every game she has won or lost?I'm sure Ms. Fisher has beaten plenty of folks and plenty of folks have beaten her, all I passed along was that she was taken down by a local shorty.

I will firmly stand behind my statement that any top professional male player can give a substantially enormous spot to any top female professional and still win.

Can a top male pro give Kelly Fisher the 5 out, breaks and still win?....I wouldn't doubt it for a minute. Will we ever get the opportunity to see it?, I doubt it. Would make for great fodder though.

Just call me the winder! the clock master! Thanks for the high regard, I feel special...all warm and fuzzy on the inside.

We can play.

You see, my whole reason for posting this question was I don't know, and to be honest, I don't see where your recounting of you vs Efren or Tang vs Efren at all sheds light on how a player of Tang's speed would fare against a player of Jasmine or Yu Ram Cha's speed.

So far two posters figure they play better than Yu Ram Cha, unless you are number 3? And if you are number 3, I'm wondering what that analysis is based on?

Thanks

Kevin

I don't, but I would like to try it some time.

Chris

What are you basing your "I don't" on? Watching her play ?

Just as a side note. The guy that told me on the phone that he thought You Ram Cha could beat Oscar, revised his opinion after watching her play her last Amway Cup match.

Thanks

Kevin

Well I have $$$ to add to the kitty if you can find any player on the earth willing to bet their own money giving Kelly the five out and the breaks. You will find many who will burn a backer giving up that weight on the backer's money. How we start with Shrimpboat? He is a top notcher, ask him or his backers if he wants to try Kelly giving up the five out.

You are from Charlotte and you act like the ONE game you know about defines Kelly's game. Since your hillbilly redneck gave up the 8 or the last two (you're not sure) and trounced Kelly why doesn't he give up a little more and play some more?

Doesn't want to adjust into a game where they are both gambling? Played over his head? Backer quit winner? Tell us the rest of the story Paul Harvey.

Meanwhile I won't hold my breath that you can arrange a game with Kelly getting the five out. I doubt that there are any backers foolish enough to try it.

None of the pros and semi-pros who post on here are barred from that game either. If any of you think that this guy is right then PM me how much you are able to bet and I will try to arrange it. I will go all in if anyone wants to give Kelly the five out and the breaks.

If gambling in a loser quits format Yu Ram can't beat Oscar. Any given short race she can win against ANY male on the Earth though. As can Jasmin, Kelly, Allison, Karen and all the top women.

To me this comes down to seasoning. Women simply don't compete with men on an equal basis so they don't get the benefit of learning the way the men do. Men simply play more and play tougher opponents more often.

This has a cumulative effect in that men in general KNOW more and know when and how to shoot the shots.

There is a lot that Yu Ram simply doesn't know which Oscar knows without even thinking about it due to Oscar's influences and experiences.

IMO

More based on my few experiences playing female pros. I have tons of respect for the talents of players like Melissa Hearndon who I know play great pool and are plenty competitive with male players.

But when it comes to pro pool players, it's pretty much the same thing as golf. What chance would even a legend like Annika have on the PGA Tour?

Kevin - to put it in perpective, these top females pool players are more like a club pro compared to the PGA touring pros. What chance does Mr. Chip Shot, PGA Club Pro have against Phil Mickelson? About the same chance as she would have against Oscar...

Oscar has beat Shane and a lot of other world-class players in tournaments. Tell me, who has You Ram Cha beat?

It's just reality.

I think Yu Ram has beat Shane. :p

Oscar never beat Shane gambling. Like Yu Ram he beat Shane in a tournament. Yu Ram beat Shane as well in a tournament. And she has beaten other top players in tournaments.

Mass makes class. More men playing means more top men. That's all there is to it. There is no physical reason why Yu Ram Cha is a weaker player than any man. It's simply an experience and numbers equation.

My other observation that helped me form an opinion is that in the higher level open tournaments I've followed that accept women (I think they all should by the way) with strong fields, the female pros haven't fared well, most going two and out.

Depth of talent in the field is probably the main reason. You look at the US Open and there are 150 world beaters on the starting line.

That experience playing female pros is way more what I'm looking for. I have a real good understanding of the layers in golf, I mean if anyone just steps down one level, they rule. iI remember back when Gary McCord was not playing good enough to keep his PGA Tour card, he entered a Golden State Tour event at won by 11 strokes.

I'm far more interested in how women match up against men. Michelle Wie almost made the cut (was it one stroke off ?) in a regular PGA Tour event and she wasn't the best female player in the world at the time.

There seems to be very little direct matching up between the sexes. There was one poster here that said he played Yu Ram Cha plenty and beat her and I assume he's not a name man player so there's that. If I may ask, who have you played and how did you do. You are an "A" player, I think by Lenny's Arizona system I'd have you at a 9?

Thanks

Kevin

Haha, quick hit the edit button, no one is looking. :p

It's a good thing I'm not a lawyer! LOL.

These days I feel as uncomfortable talking about the skill level of the sexes as I would about talking about the skill levels of a particular race or religion.

I don't want to offend anybody or make generalizations. Each person, man or woman, is an individual and should be considered that way. I have heard many stories about Jeanette Lee taking down money from doubtful guys.

I can just say this - never, ever underestimate your opponent. It doesn't matter what sex they are. Ask any married man...

I agree, there are some very good female players out there. I think the difference between the top female player and the top male player is several balls, atleast the 7 out playing 9 ball, maybe the 6 out. My reason is the break although the Magic Rack helps everyone to make balls now, the break is a big difference. Also packages, never have I heard of a female running 9 racks or anything like that, they might run a rack or 2 here and there but the men on those 4.5 or bigger pockets are running several quite often. Anyone know what is the most racks ran by a lady in 9 ball?

To be fair, whenever I've seen any of the ladies tournaments they've always alternated the break so there really isn't the opportunity for packages. That said, I'm sure they've had the opportunity in some of the mens 10 ball events.

Everybody knows women don't have packages...
