Can you spot where the "round points" end and the "Sharpee'd points" begin?

Have it both ways ? Not sure what your talking about here .
Honestly If you or anyone else thinks this makes me look bad
I couldnt give a shit less . I have got a lot of supportive pm/email/rep and phone calls about this . Not to mention I spoke with Evan myself and he assured me there is nothing wrong with this cue . Rather than bashing me why has someone not called him I posted the number . First the buyer tells me in pm he wants to wait and see what Evan says . Well now we know Evan is saying it is an R2 with nothing altered and that is not good enough for the buyer.

I listed and sold an Schon R2

The rep you get is from the WORM. (whores of rep mafia) You and 4 or 5 others have combined to rep each other to the top, everyone knows this and it speaks to your creditability as well. So the rep, in your case , means little, if nothing.

LOL, at least I don't have to call Evan on this.

I dont care about you or your opinion . So I dont care who you call or dont call . You will not have any effect on me what so ever . Try as you may :grin-square:

I bought this cue here on az about a week ago from a well respected seller..:frown: It was listed as a "Schon R2 in mint condition".. I am posting these pictures to ask for people's opinion on how to resolve this issue. The seller won't offer a refund and would rather dispute the issue since he has 10x more iTrader points than I do.

Bigger pics here:

Can you post pics of the other points? Thanks

I do have to say I believe there is more on the same side as you than the other in this case....

Larry, you're arguing a matter of semantics when you aren't seeing the "point" of this thread...

I am realy getting sick of repeating my self so I will copy and paste this response the next 50 times the same subject is brought up again.

1.Send the cue back to me
2. Drop the protest with paypal.
3. I will issue a refund minus shipping as I am not at fault in any way .
4. I talked to Evan Clarke He already knew about this cue and said it was an R2 and I did not mislead the buyer at all . I posted his number call him if you wish . When it comes to Schon cues I will trust Evan's opinion over anyone's except Bob Rhunde .
5. I will not issue a refund of any kind with the paypal dispute still open . that would leave me open to getting screwed twice and that will not happen.

Thats it I am sick of repeating my self . Thats the deal take it or leave it.
As for what anyone thinks this makes me look like I realy dont care as I know I have done nothing wrong and I have the support of those that matter. So if this changes your opinion of me then im sorry for that but I have done NOTHING wrong here . If you think that ganging up on me is going to pressure me into changing me mind you can think again . The buyer is lucky that I am offering a refund at all .

((( Edited to add))) When I get the cue back I hope it is in the exact same condition I sent it in .
If there is any thing done to those points you will be paying me to ship the cue back to you !
So if you have done anything to the finish or those points I will not issue a refund at all I would at that point expect you to pay for the shipping to get it back to you .

Option #2 Send the cue to Evan Clarke at Schon cues if he says I owe you a full refund than I will do that and pay him to ship it back to me . BUT if he says it is in fact an R2 as listed without the points being altered then you arrange shipping the cue back from Evan .

Now bash away ... Larry

Once again the cue I sold is an Schon R2 with sharpe points and dashed ringwork . It is exactly as discribed but i have said this over and over again . I am truly amazed at how many peeps think they know more about Schon cues than Evan Clarke ! Again and again I say CALL HIM YOUR SELF !!!!

Okay, so the book YOU referenced by page number, should NOT be considered to have any information that is valid. WHY would YOU reference it then? Evan obviously knows what is what, but you provided a source ,then say that source should not be trusted.

In your description, it does not say " call Evan for info". It says " the blue bokk says.... on page 707....".

I will once again say that I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT YOU DID ANYTHING WRONG INTENTIONALLY. You do have a resposibility to your customer when you accept his moeny. I was kinda feelin for you in the beginning, but no more.

When you call your customers names, and repeatedly say that you do not care what anyone ( past and potential customers) on here thinks, then that is all I need to hear. I am sure that you have had many, many perfect transactions in the past.

I can see that you honestly and sincerely DO NOT feel a true obligation to your customers, and am sorry that you feel that way. Your reputation is not worth much ( at least it is worth less than a shipping charge to you), and likely may go down in value further. I will do exactly what you ask, and look elswhere the next time I need a cue, and would encourage a friend to do the same. It has NOTHING to do with this cue, it has to do SOLELY with your reaction to this. I also know that you could give a ratts @ss. I am just glad to know that you do not care BEFORE I placed an ordere with you.

There used to be a saying that the customer is always right. I guess that is no more. If you bend over backwards to truly try to cater to even a pain in the butt customer, which this guy is NOT ( even if you feel that he is 100% wrong) it will get noticed. When you don't, it will get shouted out to everyone and everyone they know. I have been in business for myself and know that it is true. It takes only a few upset customers to offset a thousand great ones.

Mistakes can and do happen, how you handle them is what defines your business. Please try and learn a lesson, and stop shouting I "I didn't do anything wrong".

Everything else aside, can you HONESTLY say that you would be okay to be in his shoes?

but you provided a source ,then say that source should not be trusted.

When did I say this ?

I believe I asked a new and simple question

Anyway, you have effectively shoved your fingers in your ears and started shouting " I DON"T CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS! I"M RIGHT" This is how a 2 year old copes with information that they do not agree with.

I will take your advice the next time I am looking foe a schon and " CALL EVAN".

I wish you the best.

When did I say this ?

You are saying " I don't care what that says, call Evan". Since Evan is running your affairs, maybe you should send him the check for his services to your business. You are basically saying" if you have a problem with the way I run my business, call Evan"

You are saying " despite what it says in the book I referenced, you are a fool to rely on that book when seeking accurate info about this cue. If you REALLY want to know what is what, you should call Evan"

Is that somehow NOT undermining your OWN referenced source?

I'M RUBBER, YOU'RE GLUE..............:nanner: :nanner:

My point too

cueaddicts said:
What's the problem? It's not uncommon for a cuemaker to paint or fill in the end of his sharp points to get them up to snuff......

Seriously, this is pretty simple...if the buyer wants to send the cue back for a refund for whatever reason, seller should honor it, sharpie work or not, unless it was sold as-is, all sales final, or some type of review timeframe stipulation. Evan Clarke's got nothing to do in the equation. And like Doug says, this cue is an R2. Some were obviously made with panto'ed points instead of true spliced (v-groove).

Sean is right, LOTS of cuemakers have done this in the past. Its a little rarer now, IMO.

On all my deals, I give money back guarentee. Only fair way. It appears he has offered that.

IN MY OPINION, BOTH ARE BEING NITS ABOUT THE SHIPPING. BOTH OF YOU NEED TO PUT IT BEHIND YOU AND MOVE ON. SPLIT SHIPPING OR WHATEVER, BUT IF YOU TWO ARE CONTINUE TO ACT LIKE NITS OVER SHIPPING....GIVE ME A BREAK.
