CJ leads US Mosconi challenge

We will be prepared and ready to take our "A" Game into Battle!

You lost me. I don't know what you're talking about. How does IP's Facebook account have anything to do with C.J. getting selected for the captain position? Whether IP is a competing forum to AzBilliards or not, this is a non-issue as it pertains to the topic of this thread.

The Forums didn't have anything to do with the 2012 Mosconi Cup Captain nomination. Recently I've been posting on azbilliards just for fun and entertainment, really just trying to help players with their games. I've posted a LOT in the Aiming Section discussing many concepts that haven't been openly disucussed in public. I'm still waiting on my start date with azbilliards because it's all about Video Instruction and helping them with their launch of a new web site addition that will be mainly VIDEO.

I did just coincidentally get my own Forum with IP (and I'll continue to post on AZ too), but they didn't even know I have been selected for the M.C. Captain. I was told to keep it to myself and I obliged, so No One was told about my nomination (not even my friends and family).

I'm sure there are others that are as qualified in many ways, shapes and forms, and many, like T.R. are more popular. This clearly wasn't about popularity and if anyone knows my history you know this is accurate.

I was given the Captain job to win and I intend on doing just that. To manage, guide and direct the USA Team with all my resources to be in the best possible condition to do one thing...WIN...and bring the Mosconi Cup back to America. The Mosconi Cup makes for exciting TV and that's my driving force in returning to the Game. I've produced many quality TV Events with ESPN and FOX SPORTS.

The main reason I was chosen is I have been the Captain and Player on a winning Mosconi Cup Team and I actually ran out the last rack (with Earl Strickland as my partner) to win the final match: Final score 15/13. Running this rack against Steve Davis and Ronnie O'Sullivan was the most pressure I've ever felt in one game of 9Ball. And that's saying something.

For political reasons that would be too lengthy to discuss I didn't return to defend the Cup the next year. However, this year I am returning and it's going to be a thriller I will assure you.

Going into to the European's Home Court and winning in London England will be a huge challenge for the USA Team. We will be prepared and ready to take our "A" Game into Battle!
I'm grateful for the congratulations and appreciate any support, so now starts the countdown to the Mosconi Cup and soon we will see the full roster of players after Barry's upcoming US OPEN in Virginia. Best Wishes to all that participate and play well. CJ Wiley Please "LIKE" my athlete's Page

congrats

Congrats, CJ...well deserved, and I know you'll take the reigns on this and do what needs to be done to bring it home. And one final thought.............THANK GOD !!

Congrats to you CJ on your being picked as the new Mosconi Cup captain.
I wish you and our team the best of luck and I'm hoping all of you bring
home the win for the USA.

congrats

CJ congrats on being chosen Captain, I believe you are the best choice. The USA doesn't lack talent, it lacks the mental ability and drive to win. I know your background will help to exceed and possibly change their playing for the rest of their life. They will all be great individuals, you can bring them together as a TEAM. CJ, you should have a vice captain like the Ryder Cup, and I know the perfect person who grew up in the Great State of North Dakota, Phil Jackson.

On another note, Landon for the Mosconi Cup? IMO he lacks the experience and knowledge of the 50+ players above him in. He is a great player, but this is a different animal. I only wish the Captain got to chose who he wanted to place in the spots that aren't automatic, much like the Ryder Cup.

CJ may your players weaknesses become their strengths.

Congradulations ! ! !

CJ,

Congradulations !

I know you will take everything into consideration & give it your 100% Best Effort!

But like Adrian said in Rocky II.................................WIN!

Best Wishes & Good Karma,

MatchRoom Sport sent out a lot of press released today

IP doesn't compete with AZ. Not even close

Yes Indeed!, I don't think anyone looks at them as competitive. I want to get involved full time with pool again for the next 3 years so I'll be working with several "billiard medias" to help the "big picture" of pocket billiards and getting it back into the SPOTLIGHT(on TV) like I believe is should be again.

MatchRoom Sport sent out a lot of press released today (just a few hours ago) and I'm sure azbilliards received one as well. I know they're really wanting this years Mosconi Cup to be as exciting as possible and going the extra mile to make sure that happens. Again, I'm honored to be chosen to be included. Aloha

I, too, think you are a great choice, CJ.

Hope our boys play loose and have fun - their immense talent along with your motivation and navigation should find Team USA in the winner's circle.

Congratulations on being named as Mosconi Cup coach.

best,

As a European, I'd just like to say I'm over-the-moon that Team USA has a popular choice as Captain. I genuinely hope CJ can galvanize the team and bring out the best in them, hopefully with a couple of the younger players thrown in, not just for experience but to bring the soul back into the Cup THIS year (including Dechaine). If this happens, it could be the best Cup yet imo and Team USA will be tough to beat.

Good luck Team USA.

EEEEUUUUUUUUUUUUURRROPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a great choice. Congratulations to CJ Wiley. A Mosconi Cup captain should be a grand old man of the game with solid playing credentials, solid administrativre skills and a sound command of our sport. CJ qualifies on every count and will do everything in his power to rally the American tem to a solid performance.

With superstar Shane Van Boening and Mike Dechaine, who has been amazing in competition in 2012, on the team, I think Team America should have a good shot here.

Good luck to CJ and to Team America.

Mosconi Cup is a war between the long lost cousins! It is a family Feud!

Congratulations. They made a great choice selecting you as Mosconi captain. Still counting down for the Million dollar nine ball challenge video release!!

I agree, but you need a FULL team. The chain is only as strong as it's least strong link. It may very well all ride on the least strong & he has to be strong enough to deliver... Victory! He has to be a 'Champon' at Heart. May you chose well.

With all my hope,
