*** Congratulations Team USA ***

I hope the European team will be the same players next year. I like all the players, and thought they played good.

There is a certain amount of charity in saying they all played good.

Neils shot bad in that match against Dennis, granted Dennis shot the lights out but that 5 Neils missed when he pushed the 6 down to the 9 had the whole flipping pocket. If Neils puts some pressure back onto Dennis and get out when he gets ball in hand with a wide open table or play good safes when he had his chances who knows what might happen.

Mika shot terrible, his match with Oscar was just bad. Case of "one of them has to win" in that match. He also gave his doubles partners fits with bad shape and missing balls you cannot miss.

I thought Darren shot pretty decent, made some nice pots, a couple bad shape shots at times.

Ralf was hot and cold, he was great at times but he showed some weak safeties in that last match and gave SVB too many chances.

Thorsten was pretty solid for the most part, had a couple misses but he also made some sick shots to make up for them.

The guy I want to see next year is Ruslan Chikanhov or whatever his name is from Russia. He looks like a up and comming monster player.

And honestly, I am not sure how much pool Nick Van De Berg is playing but he is an unreal talent that shows up and plays the lights out every world championships.

I think Europe needs to mix things up abit next year because you don't want them coming in and putting on a repeat performance, this years team Europe just did not have enough chemistry or drive to win.

Congratulation here for the USA Team!!

Great choice with Hatch, very impressive!!For me,he 'Pulled the trigger'!
He animate the team, missed that point in the Europe team.Last year it was Tony Drago.

Hi,
Keep your chins up Europe you ran into a buzz saw. And the Hatchet man!
Props to Roy, it was fun watching you squirm.

Actually Roy, you deserve a shout-out from all of us. You've been such a great sport throughout all of this -- competitive yes, but a sport nonetheless.

You deserve a nice pat on the back, and a couple pitchers of your favorite brew. If I were there, I'd toast you as being one of the best!

Looking forward to this next year, and for your continued (and very welcome) presence on these boards!

Perhaps I'll get to meet you at the next DCC and play you some 1-hole?

Warmest regards and a gracious toast to a fine gentleman,
-Sean

Tap, tap, tap. Nicely said, Sean!

Roy love your spirited posts. I hope to see you at DCC. I would rep you but they say I need to spread it around some first. I might just see you there in 2010 would love to take the wife to the continent and do a little traveling.

thanks, I guess :(

I am now gonna put the American flag on my wall and use it as a dart board, just so I can get the correct focus for January. I'll be the only European at the DCC this time, but I am afraid of no man.

Bring em all on, I'll get my revenge, taking one American down after the other...

Or something like that...

Looking forward to meet you at the DCC

I stiffed you for 0.01

You won't like to see me at the DCC. If you throw a dart at the AMERICAN FLAG---just buy a one way ticket. Our men and women are being killed defending freedom-- and your slimey ass isn't welcome here.

Easy guys. Roy didn't mean what he said literally. It was a figure of speech and sarcasm as he is known to express on a regular basis.

I'm sure he doesn't mean any disrespect to the American Flag or to the U.S. men and women who have shed their blood and given their lives for our country and our freedom.

Someone needs a hug. Nice way to threaten another member on here, and as far as I can remember, we didn't elect you to decide who "we" welcome here.

Hey, you don't seem to like me do you?

Remember that nice red rep you sent me during the Bar Table Championship when I joked about how nice it was that an European won an event. Something like "Get your stupid a** back to Norway". Back then JohnnyT and several others had to chime in and tell you that I was joking and that it was all good-hearted, but you're a slow-learner.

If you haven't noticed, I like to joke around about how superiour the European's have been in tournament play the last couple of years, and cheering on my friends in tournaments, but when it's going the other way around and the American's are winning I can take the jokes and punches right back, just like what happened this week during the most prestigous events of them all.

You seem to don't understand jokes and fun spirited people and are obviously only looking for trouble, so you are correct about one thing: I won't like to see you at DCC, because I have realized that life is too short to hang around with negative and aggressive people.

Dont worry Roy....we make our flag out of Kevlar now.....you can try throwing a dart at it, but it just may ricochet back and puncture a lung or something:grin:

And no, he doesnt speak for everyone on here, so dont cry:cool:

Ironically those men and women are also defending your 1st Amendment Rights... which allow you to desecrate flags.

Cheer up pal...
