Coverage of mosconi matches in progress

Very forgettable start. Shane's miss of the one in the side was big and denied Team USA a chance to go up 2-0. The back breaker, however, was when Schmidt failed to capitalize on Mark Gray's big mistake with a chance to pull within 3-2. Deuel's two errors in rack 6 were almost academic. The veterans need to tidy it up.

Still, it's early and if we can get the next one, it's all forgotten.
 
I would say this is Europes top doubles team. Maybe not top two players but the two that should play the best together. Surprised they put them up first.

Some coaches like to put their best up first, and if they do really well, hope it sets the pace. High risk/high reward.
 
Superb run out from Boyes/Appleton there. Expected them to run to three fouls but made a tough table look simple.

All Europe so far.
 
Two safety battles won for Appleton/Boyes for a 1-0 lead over Deuel/Hall.
