Coverage of mosconi matches in progress

Good break by Boyes makes the one but the two is sitting awful, and darren will have to play a safety. He plays it well, and Deuel's kick flukishly pockets the six. Leaves Hall super tough, and Hall is not up to the challenge. Appleton/Boyes have a good look at the table, but get out of line and have to shoot a pretty tough four nine combo. Boyes hits it well and it is USA 3 Europe 2 in this hotly contested match.

This thread was began as a "coverage" thread. If you just want to be the first person to chime in to say "so & so missed" or "Europe won that rack" or some such thing -- you are just spoiling the coverage and stealing the thunder of those that are actually providing the commentary for us.

Thanks to all who provide useful commentary.

Justin needs to go with his gut quicker. The clock is gonna kill these rookies if they dont embrace their gut instincts!!

Big game here - USA breaking with Deuel. Corey carefully inspects the rack, makes a ball with one ball sitting in upper right hand corner pocket to start the run out.

Thank you officer.

You may be right but I think there's a delicate balance there. During the U.S. Open it looked like he was playing really slow. That may be something he does when he is feeling the heat.

Should he play faster -- maybe, but the Mosconi Cup is no time to deviate from what you have always done.

Corey misses a very makeable 5. Then after two innings , USA gets ball in hand and Corey shoots 5 and doesnt leave Hall a makeable shot on the 6.

Corey with ball in hand completely blows position, but Justin makes a great bank, leaving dicey position for Corey, who makes a great shot on the 7. Easy out from there.

4-2 USA.

Justin banks in the 6!!! Then Corey shoots the 7 up the rail and banks it as well. Didnt mean to bank it but it hit the second diamond and still went in.

USA up 4-2
