Cue ID... How good are you?

Hi Joel,

You win the cigar! Thanks for joining the forum. I appreciate you verifying this for Matthias and I.

How's your business these days? Gotta be keeping you busy!

Take care and keep up the good work!

Best regards,

Steve Feld

I agree. My name should move to the top of the list because he cheated :D

Nice going to all that participated! A special thanks to Joel Hercek for his appearance on the forum. Believe it or not, it wasn't planned... It's good to know even the big guns haunt the chatlines occasionally!

You guys are too tough!

Steve

does that mean we can get a special az price for JH's cues? pls pls pls... I'll be too far down the list that I'd hate to think how much a JH would cost by then. ;)

I've only got about 4 more years to go.... :D

Welcome, Joel.

ID v2

To continue in the same mode, ID the cue with the bushka ring in these pics. Joel is barred from playing because he has already looked at the cue a while back.

Hints:

the cue Hunter posted and this thread tie in REALLY well to ID this one
Jim - there are other Oklahoma cue makers you are leaving out

The Hoppe style is Joel's work. The other one is the question.

Think connections to Joel and Oklahoma. Jim ought to be all over this one. :D

Verl Horn?

Are the veneers white, purple, orange, and black? If so, I would think Spain points with Horn butt. If not, I would think Craig Petersen's points with Horn butt. Note: This could also be Steve Kornele's butt work, but sure looks like Verl's...

Steve

Nope, not Horn, Kornele, or Schurtz.

Hunter, you are right about the veneer colors (except mahogany instead of orange) and it is a Spain forearm as verified by Joel.

The cuemaker is out of OKC and is from the OLD SCHOOL; including brushed on lacquer and a unique way to attach the ferrules.

C'mon, Jim. Check your contacts in OKC.......

Yak?

Tracy

Not Kent or one of the other Taylor boys? Too old school for Chad Mc Clennan... Tracy mentioned Yak (Goble)...Hmmm...

Nope, no, no, and no.

Cue was made for, and used by, David Matlock. And, I play at that level, too! Riiiiiggghhhht . . . .
