Day 2 Mosconi Matches in Progress Coverage

Deuel breaks wet, narrowly avoiding a scratch into the side pocket. Overcuts the two ball and scratches the cue ball into the top corner.

Boyes combos in the eight and he's in control. Should be out .... and is.

Boyes 2 Deuel 0

Two gifts from Corey so far.

That sucks. Damn it.

Boyes breaks, doesn't make a ball.....

and scratches in the side. All the balls spread out. Lets see if Corey can run out.

He makes the one and is out of line on the two.

Makes the two and is out of line on the three.

Makes the three and is somewhat back in line on the four.

makes the four and is finally back in line.

Corey got out of position early, made three good shots to finally fall in line on the 5 ball. It was all text book from there.

He hit that 7 BAD but the new cloth let that ball slide in. Corey was all over the table but was able to make shots that were way harder than they needed to be. Maybe it will give him some confidence back.

Boyes fouls on the break to open rack three and Corey has a big opportunity.

misses shape on the two but hits it well. nice shot on the three and another on the four and Corey finally has control of the table. Runs out, a testament to his shotmaking and certainly not his position play.

Boyes 2 Deuel 1

Corey's playing real tight, but he is one hell of a shotmaker and got out of that one.

2-1 Boyes

Missed the 7 but the table takes it and Corey wins the game.

Yea, I thought he missed that ball too.... And did you see his shakiness when he shot the five. I noticed that before the commentator called it out...

Lucky to be 2-1 right now. At least the match is back "on serve!"

Corey can do this....

Might just be my imagination but it appears that several in the crowd hope to shark/disrupt with extended ooooooh's when the u.s. team gets a little out of shape etc.

Can someone tell Matchroom that the 'Van' is part of Shane's last name and not his first name so it can be capitalized?

when you're too nervous...

When you're overly nervous, there's a tendency to tighten up. This will effect shape even when you stay down on the shot and follow through properly. Hopefully he will over come his nerves soon.

Corey gets 6 balls to go past the side pockets and breaks dry.

Boyes at the table with no clue what to do .

Yeah that's definitely what they are doing, but they are applauding good shots from the Americans as well.

On another note as confident and loose as Hall and Bergman looked Corey looks tighter than a drum. Hope he shoots himself out of it, but he may not have time.

I'm a big CD fan but his games is just very off right now. Yesterday as well. He needs to get it together and QUICK.. He's getting chances for sure. 3-1 Boyes
