Dennis Orcollo contract

This is the deal with Dennis. He did not honor this contract so how do I trust was I suppose to trust him in Beloit if he didn't follow through at DCC. Would you put money up behind someone knowing you will never see a dime.

When did professional pool turn into an episode of Shark Tank? What exactly were you bringing to the table for 50% other than running your mouth? It was signed in October and surely he's played in several tournaments since then yet there's only an issue at the DCC before the alleged 50k match.
 
That's the biggest bs agreement ever.

I'm only surprised that do even signed it in the first place. He gets nothing from this agreement. No guarantee of anything.

Had it stated that all costs related to pool agreements and all losses be covered by French then it would be a different story. I'm not surprised do walked away from that at all.

Based on that contract, it looks to me that this may end up in court. If Dennis wants to play pool in the USA, he is going to have to pay French what he agreed in writing to pay him.

That is a very short and clear contract. I find it hard to believe that Dennis could have been confused by the terms. But then again, I don't know his level of English. He should have had Jay or one of his American friends review it for him before he signed it.

EDIT: I realize that the "Agent" is not committing to provide the player with any direct financial support, only to advise and counsel him. BS = yes, but it appears to be a valid, signed contract.

So what benefit is it for Dennis with that contract?

Just so French can represent, advise, and counsel Dennis?

Nothing about paying for Dennis traveling expenses, tournament entries, etc...

Because he is a pool player... they are notorious for making bad decisions with money LOL.

Posting the contract here does not make John look good or right in this situation... just more scummy.

Like the US Open.....

I like how the contract says the agent can engage professionals to assist.......and the cost shall be split 50/50 with the player. So Dennis could have been handed $1000s of in bills for outside services and then never seen a dime.

Here is what will happen if this goes to court - Dennis will get up there, the judge will see that he can't speak English and it will get thrown out. Doesn't matter if you sign a contract if you don't understand what you are signing.

What a bs deal for Dennis. How is French is going to help pool, by bleeding his players to death?
 
I can't believe ANYONE would willingly sign a contract like this. It's two pages that basically says:

"I get 50% of everything you do and I don't have to do a damn thing in return. But... If I DO decide to do something, you have to pay half of the cost."

Was this the contract signed by all the players? Or exclusively to Dennis?

It is claimed that John French spent over $100 K in pool this last few months-was that money paid to his contract players for per diem/living expenses, etc. Or was it just rail bets?

Why not substitute Big Ko for Dennis and still play Shane in the exhibition?

10 years seems a little extreme, what was your long term outlook for these players that required a decade? Was there a UFC league type business idea or was it simply exhibition play in hopes of espn contracts?

Were the players to be compensated for any monies won on your side bets?

Instead of posting private contracts, or having your brother make defensive arguments on your behalf, use this opportunity to come out and clear the air. A ton of questions and zero answers directly from Mr. French.
