Derby City photos

Every year I take a zillion photos at DCC, which is a lot of work but even more fun. It takes a while after I get home to sort through them and do basic edits of the "keepers". This year I shot more than 2000 frames, now reduced to about 450, edited and uploaded in five DCC 2012 galleries.

IMO, the best way to view them the first time is to go to the gallery you want to view, and then up in the top right corner of the screen you should see the "Slideshow" tab, and click on it to open up a real nice full screen slide viewer. Another useful tab is "Share", which opens a dialogue menu that allows you to get links for individual photos, which you can use to include in email, forum posts, Facebook, etc. You can share gallery links or individual pics using the "Share" tab.

I hope you enjoy...

Great photos! Thanks for sharing. Not wanting to sound like an elitist prude, I'd like to see a dress code implemented for major tourneys. Don't get me wrong, I typically play in jeans and t-shirt. But, similar to the Ultimate 10Ball tourney held in Texas last year, I'd like to see more events with a dress code.

You are like a sniper. I never even saw you snap my pics. Nice job on the photos.

Great pics as usual and thanks for your work.
One thing I noticed is that Grady is sure looking fit as a fiddle. That was a nice pic of him.

Great photos
I started laughing when I saw that you caught a before and after of me in the AZ/1p Room. You got me Thursday night when I was three sheets to the wind and an after of when I was playing in my right mind the next afternoon. At least I knew you were there Friday ;)

Nice shots, thanks for sharing!!

And to add to the argument of why Billiards is not marketable to the public and they cant get it main stream; Just look at photo #165 of the tournament photos. I dont even think Scott Boras can sell that as the face of billiards and the number #1 player in the world!! Even bowling tournaments have a no jeans; collared shirt; dress code.

Thank you all for your feedback. The action room is definitely a little different -- partly because of the action, but also the players that tend to be in there are more like the characters in a typical action oriented poolroom. But another thing I like from a visual standpoint is the darker background in the action room makes for more interested photos.

Interesting point that the dress in the tournament room was not that different from the action room though. Top players like Shane could in fact probably pick up a little more endorsement if they studied men's fashion a bit. Might not be his thing though, lol.
