Here is the layout we are working with for the 2009 Derby City Classic TAR Pit:

There will be 5 nine foot Diamonds and one seven foot Diamond. The two nine footers and the seven footer closest to the TAR booth will be streaming tables that belong to TAR. People are free to use them whenever they like of course but if your match is not scheduled with TAR on those three tables players will be subject to being moved with no notice if an action match comes up.
It would be pretty silly to travel all that way, bring all the gear, set everything up and then not be able to stream a big match because two guys happened to be playing $100 10 ahead one pocket set on one table and $5 ring game on the other. This way everyone is on the same page and there will be tables available for the big matches to happen on. The other three 9 footers in the room are wide open for whatever people want to do.
We are trying to get a portable bar in the corner as listed on the diagram that is still not final.
There is a long window in the room that we will be covering with black plastic so there will not any be nasty sunlight bothering anyone. As far as I know there is a last call around 2:30 or 3:00 AM. Not sure what the hotel policy is on people with coolers etc. but as long as there is no heat on us whatever people decide to do is on them.
We have been told that the same things that would draw heat at the Executive West will do so here. No groups of 200 people surrounding a table playing dice or pitching quarters. No keno. (Sorry Tooth). We have also heard that money on the lights is not a good idea. Despite the wink and nod from the hotel about the action being alright they are still a casino and subject to state gaming laws and the whims of their enforcement so it just makes sense to be somewhat discreet. We are new to the casino and they are new to us, so it makes sense to take it easy until we have a handle on what the environment is going to be like. I really do not think is going to be a big deal at all.
TAR will have cameras on the three front tables and we are working getting a fourth camera for interviews. We are hoping to put together enough of a crew to broadcast 24/7. We were lucky last year and I think this year will be even better.
We encourage everyone to come out and have a blast. I can't wait.
