Hello
Let me begin by saying this is not the right post for this thread, but, is as important as anything I have read thus far on AZ.
I just wanted to remind everyone that reads this to take time to tell the ones that are closest to you that you love them. You never know when you will not have that chance to do so. Also, be good to others that you deal with and try to be more civil in dealings. Remember that this is just a sport/hobby and in the grand scheme of life, this means little to nothing. Money is not the end all be all, however, our relations are.
I am writing this because I have had a lot of time recently to reflect. My dad has been sick since last memorial day. He might have three or four days left before he enters eternal rest. He has suffered greatly and so has my family, especialy my mother. She has not left his side and has remained strong this past year for my dad and for the entire family.
This has been a long and painful trip for all involved on an emotional and financial level. I am not looking for sympathy or money here. Just that each and every one of you refuse to take the important things in life for granted, like family and friends. These things are truely precious and once they are gone, it is too late. In closing, the one single positive thing that came out of all this was the fact that the doctors gave me the chance to say a lot of things to my father that needed to be said, I was truely lucky and blessed here. God gave me the break and a spot.
Thanks
Tom
