I am thinking Vegas is probably the best place to do this. I think there is a pool room there that has a sunken pit that would be perfect but lets see when you can do it Joe as I know u are a busy guy.

Also I have a question for everyone. baring in mind that we will get alot of attention do we ban the F Word or any real bad language so as to attract people from outside the pool world and have a clean image? or do we jusyt say F*&k it and let Oe and Earl yap and say whatever they want? Not sure myself. I will be in touch with Justin at TAR Jeo keep us updated and also anyone who has any money and wants to help us out with this please let me know.

I would suggest to have them play when their schedules match up, Joe is regularily in Las Vegas for UFC events and maybe Earl will be there for the event in May? This would save on finding a sponsor? Maybe Mark Cantrill, pool pimp extraordinaire could be the sponsor?! :eek:

I also would like to vote for it not being censored, it would be way more fun for everyone.

LOl, Pool pimp... I like it :) Darren Appleton wanted to start calling me "the wizard" and I like that too. Unfortunatly I think that Old T-Wheels is all I am gonna get from the guys. :)
 
I vote vegas in may......because i'll be there LOL and I vote let the language flow as the best fun will be these two guys feeling comfortable & natural.

You started it with the video about Earl. The way I see it you have an obligation to cowboy up and get in the box with him. If somebody talked crap about Michael Jordan then yes, they should put up...or shut up.
 
This is all very weird. Joe didn't "start" anything with Earl. He's not obligated to do anything with him in the box. So what now? Every time a COMEDIAN wants to crack a joke about a pool player they gotta worry about the butt of their jokes calling them out to play?

I mean, if Joe wants to be a sport about things and make an appearance with Earl - that's great. But it's not a "Joe c0cked-off and now he should play Earl" thing.

Weird if you ask me.

Would e great for pool !

Anything like this would be great for pool..the bigger the promotion the better..would be the triple nuts to get someone like Michael Buffer to do the intro's before the match if possible.:smile:

I think Joe is doing something very nice agreeing to play a World Champion pool player for charity. Joe realizes he can't beat one of the greatest players of all time, but would agree to play.
There is a part that is hard to understand. I see in your post above that money they can go home with, and a chunk of money goes to charity.
WHO will be going home with money? EARL? I know Joe won't be..
Why would Joe agree to line Earls pockets.. Doing a good thing for charity is one thing, donating to Earl because he challenged you is another.
I'm sure Earl wouldn't gamble with Joe doing stand up, or fighting. But for charity who knows. Why should Earl get paid off, because Joe did a comedy bit on him. Joe already said he is a fan of Earl, and I believe no malice was intended. So let this challenge be for the good of Pool and Charity, not compensation to Earl.

After this one goes down I will be looking to match up Kiefer Sutherland as I hear he is a big pool fan and maybe Charles Barkley another player. The Team CSI Celebrity challenge matches may have just been born. :)

joe will get the right spot to make it a good game. Whoever wins will get to take home some $$ and a chunk will go to Charity. I see nothing wrong with someone making a payday out of it. So if the spot is right it will be a close game and not lining Earls pockets.
