Anitokid, I am suprised that you write as if you know who is responsible. I know nothing of the threats, etc. If so, is it becoming widely understood over there of who did this? Are the police investigating/questioning his friends and relatives?

I'm sure if DHL finds out that someone is using one of their uniforms to commit premeditated murder, they are gonna put pressure on somebody somewhere to get this crime solved.
Maybe someone should let DHL know about this, if they don't already know.

Honestly, it could have been anyone from his pool politics opponents to a rabid fan of those opponents or someone else for something else. The most shocking part is that a bright light was extinguished in a assassination in front of his family. Luckily they were not harmed.
I think that we can all be fairly sure that this was related to the activities on the Philippine pool scene. I am sure the police are investigating it. And equally sure that nothing will come of it. I hope that the man who pulled the trigger and those who hired him are brought to justice.
I hope that this violence ends here though. Innocence about the Philippines and it's pool scene have been shattered forever.

Everyone hopes justice will prevail and I certainly do. Being a pinoy, I doubt that it will happen. But I still hope and pray it will.

Highly unlikely. I am sure professional killers use whatever disguises they need to. What can DHL do about it? I doubt very much that DHL will investigate this as it could have just as easily been UPS/FEDEX or any other pretext. I bet Edwin would have come to the door no matter who was knocking.
What's shocking to me is how utterly fragile our existence is. I honestly never in my life expected the movies to become reality in my world like this. When I think about the amount of people I trust and the strangers wearing uniforms who represent various companies that I let into my business and home on a regular basis this is just frightening.
I have a huge case of "this could happen to anyone" going on right now. And I am afraid for Linds and others who have been vocal in this fight.

Yeah, I agree. I'm just thinking outloud of anyway this crime can be solved. Reality does totally suck sometimes.

As far as I know, the reason why Makabenta and Mariano parted ways was because when Perry asked Makabenta whether BSCP received 10M from PAGCOR and wanted an accounting for it, Makabenta replied that BSCP did not receive the 10M, which was half true. It took a senate investigation and under duress from Sen. Pimentel that he admitted that his company Raya has received the 10M indeed.
It's interesting to me that the PI news hasn't reported anything about this.

This is a shocking crime. And for it to happen to someone who I consider a friend makes it a hundred fold more shocking.
