One thing I can never understand is the old "land of the free" stuff , sure compared to Iraq or Saudi the USA stands tall.
UMMM that's "Land of the free, Home of the brave (and probably should say "and multi times savior of europe"). Not just those two....you've obviously never heard of the other 201 soveriegn nation states of the world!
I'm currently in Atlanta and I can't help wondering if my stalk had dropped me off here...
...I wouldn't have been able to gone out drinking at 15 (18 legally)
Why not? I started at 13 (18 legally. But then I'm old).
...I wouldn't be free to gamble
Ever hear of Vegas...the boardwalk....Indian Casinos....Reno???
...I wouldn't have as much free money after tax each month
Sorry to hear about your financial misfortune in the current economic climate. Yes, we are looking at much higher taxes here with the Big O and his political cronies in complete control of the government. :frown:
...I wouldn't be free to watch uncensored TV
The BBC is uncensored??? WOW!
...I wouldn't have free health care
Since they don't take much money from you....who's paying for that??? Guess your doctors have to rent their clubs.
...I wouldn't be free to visit Cuba
Yes.....the great socialist paradise. How come every 10 years or so thousands upon thousands of these happy Cubans risk life and limb to escape to the United States? Well never mind, I'm glad you're able to support socialist utopia.:bow-down:
...I wouldn't have had free University education
What,
you mean you didn't have to work?? What was it a scholarship, a grant? We have those things too.
...I wouldn't have been free to lose my virginity at 16!
Well I don't mean to brag but us hospitable southerners get started much earlier I guess.
That being said, I've probably experience more of America than most of the posters on this board and it's still a fine country.
Yes it is, thank you!
The deep southern hospitality has been wonderful, it's certainly true that the more nationalisitc members of this forum are a very poor example of Americans in general.
