Lol, how do you hide and opt out? Hopefully you can't.

One of the main goals, or at least side-effects, of Fargo ratings is that everyone will eventually know everyone's true skill level/range. No more sneaking up on people to steal the money, and being a lying cheating stealing low-life. If you can't take giving weight to lesser skilled opponents, practice and get better. So sad, too bad.

Although I see a big score being taken down someday....a player invests a few hundred dollars in entries, doesn't beat anybody.....and makes a game for big bucks based on his FargoRating.......there are always hackers for any system.

The Daniel Busch shown in Fargo only has 22 games. Not enough information to tell anything. He is also from Wisconsin-not sure its you .............

Becaaaaaaasee, the champion, and his crew, shouldn't have to drive eight hours to the challenger AFTER they already flew half way across the country for the first match.

Plus, I don't need the dough and having to fade his bs AND I like the idea of the score forever remaining:

Same here. Though I haven't been on the site myself, a local guy told me that I was rated a 525.

I have no idea how they came up with that number but regardless, I think that if you don't have semi-solid data you shouldn't publish a number.

Well, I guess for the same reason people want accurate information on anything else they spend money on. To insure that they are getting the value they expect and not getting flat out robbed.

True. But enough data can predict what's likely to happen as historically anomalies are so named because they don't happen often.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I am pretty sure that if a next time happens that I will at least be better prepared for having had the first experience.
