Feel good story of the year

About 2 or so years ago I made a deal with Scott Gracio(a relative newcomer to the top tier cue making) to make me some Brunswick 360 Tributes,
A project that no one else would dare take on

He agreed

I placed a challenge to fatboy to join me, on a post right here, because I new that he was a standup guy and if the project failed,he would not cry about it

He replied "I'm In"

Tikler said "Me too" before long 5 people put up a few thousand dollars each on a project that people thought was impossible

What happened ?

Look at Jamie's poll for cue of the year

Along with the best and far more expensive cues made in 2011 is Scott Gracio's project, that may not win,but miracle upon miracle is one of the top 2 or3

We took a chance in the blind,5 guys who bet on the kid,Scott put his heart in the project
So much that he probably lost money, but his reputation was at stake

I would say,he has earned our trust and admiration forever

Don't you agree?

absolutely....

Yes, Dean. Those cues exhibit some fantastic workmanship and surely it was both tedious and time-consuming to recreate such as difficult, historical design. They turned out beautiful.....Scott knocked 'em way out of the park for sure !!

I voted for these cues because they are a recreation of a lost art and I know the late Paul Fanelli, would have been impressed with the undertaking. Paul was asked many tim es to make a 360, and he knew that with all he had in the pipeline he wouldn't have the time to tinker on this cue as well as his own work.

So I know Paul would be floored to see these and the woods that Scott chose. Count my vote as 2 because I know Paul would have voted for these.

i applaud the buyers who took a shot in the dark
and
most of all the cue maker

its nice to see a fella put more into a job than he has to
he needed to earn a living and, yet, when he found himself neck deep in water,
he stayed up all night,he never complained,
his wife had serious illness and he took it all like a man
this was integrity at work,
sure he had to turn the phone off to get the job done
he could have made more money with standard work,
but he gave his word to us,He said nothing

(if Fatboy, and Tikler had known the obstacles he faced,
they would have said forget it.we knew it was a chance.
,you did your best, take care of your family)

not a few would have cut corners and just got the work out
Scott followed another path,he did the right thing

For that reason,Scott Gracio is my cue maker of the year

I recommend Scott whole hearteddly to you collectors who
want something unique, out of the ordinary

Remember the gambling mouse cue that brought tears to our eyes, the Joker gambler
that he recently did,he did things on that cue that no one can do,This 360 cue

I have a project in mind for him that will really be something, but my biggest fear is that it might be so tricky that it will take Scott 2,3 even 10 times too much work to do
and instead of quiting or asking for more money,
he might ruin himself rather than disappoint me and the few that join me

Last time all he did was take an impossible job and give us THE CUE of the Year or close to it

a word to you Az members who only want to spend $1000 or so and you only plan to do that once in a lifetime.
To you guys i say, call Scott tell him what you have, what you want, and rest assured that you will be treated with respect ,
you will get what you expect
Of course they play good, all the basics are there

hey

All I can add to what Deano said about Scott......is I have 4 cues on order from him. Wait until you see these babies

All of those 360s are just plain AWESOME! Congrats to all of the guys who own one.

how many of them did scott build?

i saw two
was there more?
a group shot of all of them would be awesome

can you imagine how brunswick built those back in 1912?

Actually....

:clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:
I knew Scott achieved GREATNESS at the Valley Forge SBE in 2009..
When he gave Tikkler the Engraved Ebony Ivory Handle Cue.. I was there when Scott presented it to Steve..
But, heck yah!!!!! Those 360's put him "Over the Top!!!!".....
So many things gotta go right making a MODEL 360. AND, he made 5 of 'um...:shocked2:

Scott is going to do 1 more project for me
If you want to take a chance on getting what I believe will be the best cue project ever
pm or call me

This is not a project for the person who can not afford to take a chance
it is also only for people who can remain friends when a possible disappointment occurs

the kid has earned some respect

no one expected the cue to win the cue of the year
there are so many works of art
some are genuine masterpieces
the 360 project is a victory for substance over style

i am more excited over the next project,it will be
my swan song,i have wanted this for over 15 years
and thought it was impossibe to make

it would be hard to pick a favorite
everyone was beautiful

scott really deserves recognition

i just got word he can do the next project
which will in my opinion be the greatest cue ever

it will be my last one
i have been told to cut back

my wife is really wonderful
she knows i wear the pants in the family

and i can contiinue doing so as long as i do
what i am told

seems fair

where have you been
i thought we would hear from you before this
i had someone ask about buying a gracio 360 but no one is selling

call me we are going again and this one will knock you out
