He is a barbox stud! He was one of the best players on the barbox with a big cueball. He is really good on the big table too. He placed at the dcc awhile ago, but I can't remember if it was 9 ball or banks.cuechick said:Obviously he has been around for awhile and is a great player, but I have never heard of this guy?

He is said by some (including me) to be the best bar table player ever (lets not start that argument though). I think he is originally from Rolla MO and has spent most of his playing years in Kansas, Olathe the past couple of decades. He is also an accomplished big table player. He came very close to winning the all around at the DCC two years ago but came up a bit short. Some say that if Corey Duel & Efren weren't given a 'bye' in one of the rounds of the 9 ball tournament, he would have won. David is an accomplished player at all games. He is a great billiards player & I think knows something like 56 different diamond systems.
I hope that is enough info for you.

David Matlock is an awesome player. He told me he is really into 3 cushion also. He plays everything! I was playing scotch doubles with him in Vegas about 3-4 years ago at the Cue Club. They accidentally turned our table light off and he still ran out every rack, even with his obvious handicap of a partnerHe has a fluid but powerful stroke, and never looked like he had to think about how to play the next shot. I have seen some very impressive players...but he is way into the top 10 for me.
Oh, and he is SOOOO nice!

I am gonna guess that you were born in the early to mid 80's. Do I get a prize??![]()
And I played in the 70's and 80's in Oklahoma, Kansas and Wisconsin and lost my way in the 90's and 2000's. Sounds like a scotch doubles team to me. You can carry 200+ pounds in a match, right? 'Cuz I'm a heavy partner these days. Just ask Timberly.cuechick said:Way off buddie, I remember the 70's! though I was a mere childHowever, I did not pick up a pool cue till the late 90's so in that way I am pretty young!
