We have noticed the speed of the forums getting worse and worse lately and finally had to do something about it. We are now hosted on a new server with a new hosting company.

Special thanks to spiderwebb for pointing us in the direction of the new company.

Please let me know if you have any problems with this new host. If you can't post here or PM me, then email me at housepro@azbilliards.com

As can be expected, moving a site of this size is a pretty big chore. I think I have everything working over here.

Thanks Mike and everyone else behind the scenes who keep AZ up and running 24/7!!!!...

AZHousepro,

Thanks for all the hard work and the opportunity to help in a small way.

Wow. That was a pretty quick migration. Congrats on a job well done.

The forums seem much more responsive, and no 30-second hangs to speak of so far.

Thanx

Thank you very much Mike. We appreciate all your efferts in everything you do.

my only suggestion, request, would be to post up a notice that the site will be down while this move takes place
i have people calling me asking me if i can get on az
i called a few friends to ask the same
i was right in the middle of pm'ing back & forth with a guy about a cue he was interested in buying when the site went down
had we known it was going to shut down, we could have easily switched to using email or phone

with the current situation of email hacking from other az'ers going on,
i didnt know if it was my computer locking up or the site

just a suggestion from a "computerly challenged person"

Everything seems to be working fine now, but it was crawling for a while. Thanks for the update on what was going on and for getting the problems corrected. This is my favorite billiard site by a long shot.........

It's working great now. Yesterday it was not loading, probably from it being moved to the new host.

My only suggestion is for all the people in this thread and on the forums to buy a club membership and support AZ Billiards.

I'm glad to hear az moved. The company I referred them to manages all of my enterprise hosting nation-wide and planned to put az on a big, big server with tons of bandwidth. As with any server move, there will prob be bugs to smooth out - but the guy managing the migration on the data center side is a genius.

This should be a ton faster from here on out.
