Maybe the picture is after contacting the CB (though we see no motion blur on the CB).

Thanks for posting the last couple of hours Daniel, I had to go to work the next day so I wasn't able to watch the end of the match.

I'm no expert on how people behave when playing big money games but I was also really impressed with Alex's composure and the way he carried himself around the table, this guy is a real champion.

i didnt see match but i gotta say it amazes me how quick people forget about a players wins and only remember losses.
people r saying scott is 5th best 1hole and plays under alex etc.
when he beat efren hes the greatest but loses to alex and now hes a bum .
alex is awesome but in scotts defense he plays on dry,slick,fast ,diamonds usually and that hard times table, is slow,dirty,wet,etc basically just different.
alex had played on those tables for like 3 days then played scott. scott walks in and just gets up and plays i heard.
they play about even but whoever got used to the friction,speed,pockets,bounce,wetness first would win .obviously that was alex from being there 3 days first.
plus scott has played no pool lately i heard and been involved with poker etc.
if scott had hit balls for 3 days like alex on that table match would have been different i think.
this applies to any good player really.

I share your view regarding Scott. He is one of the best out there playing one hole. That being said...........for 20 dimes you don't just show up and play, especially on equipment directly opposite of your normal playing conditions. If poker has his interest at this time than better to roll the dice on a card table than to challenge a champion like Alex P. If he's going to donate 20 thousand to someone next time please look my way :).

Scott flew in town a day before and practiced for about an hour on that table and I heard him said He likes the table and ready to play....

Wet?? Alex did what a pro must do to win. Made the shots he had to make under pressure. Also, when Scott beat Efren, Efren had been up for 3 days playing any and all comers. He had driven over to Sta Monica to the House of Billiards and gave up spots to very good players in order to gamble. Just hours before he and his buddies drove to Phoenix for the match with Scott, Tang Hoa walked into Hard Times and announced that he wanted a chance to get his money back. He woke Efren up, who had been sleeping in the top row of the bleachers. They made their game which a sleepy Efren lost. Shortly thereafter Efren and his group headed to Phoenix where Efren was guaranteed $5,000 to just show up. Too say Scott got Efrren's best game is naive. Also to say that today Scott wouldn't win a rematch is probably unrealalistic, especially if he prepared like a champion should.

There is no doubt that Alex is more familiar with the tables at HT. Just as there is no doubt that Alex was better prepared. On a Diamond at Kolby's my $ would be on Scott. His shot making ability caused One Pocket Richie to drop more than one F bomb.

I think the "5th in one pocket" was someone joking around. But I do question him being the best. I bet on Alex this time and I would again. Alex is the better shot maker/ball runner and moves just as good. I would also bet on Shane playing Scott.

I watched most of the 1st part and most of the 3rd part of this 8ahead set and Scott played careless. It wasn't the table, it was his decision making. There were a few times at the beginning that I wondered who he bet on. Just sell out after sell out.

I think if I remember right the payout was $4000 to the winner and $1000 to the loser in the challenge match, Scott won that one and your right Efren might not have been 100% just like Scott was not against Alex. Alex played great, was playing on that table for a long time, I heard weeks, some said months. Scott I heard only hit a few balls on it and was playing poker for weeks, Billy said they were completely out managed there too. Scott did beat Efren for the cash the next two times after they played in Phoenix and they were gambling too.

I think Scott and Alex will play again, I hope its a better battle next time, I also would like to see Shane play Scott too. I think if Scott put in the time his peers do then he would be back in top form or better then he was at his best. Hats off to Alex, he really shined that night.

Kind of reminds me of the power rankings after monday night football. If a team is number 1 in the make believe power rankings and loses next wk they may not be top 5 in the peoples power rankings then! lol Kinda the same thing here. Right? If you look good that wk your good if you loook bad that wk your bad. What have you done for me lately mentality.
