Wondering because there seems like alot of interest in full splice cues, is there a list of cuemakers that make there own? I know Hercek and Davis does, who else?
Thanks for any help.

cuemakers that make their own full splices:

Pete Tascarella
Blackcreek Custom Cues (Travis Niklich)
Schmelke
Hightower
Mark Bear
Prather
John Davis (Blanks)

There might be more, these are off the top of my head..

Darrin Hill makes a great full splice cue. There is a thread here he posted a while ago showing how a full splice cue is made.

I have a couple of Leon Sly's sneakys. These days I think you might have to twist his arm pretty hard but he might cave in.

I wish I made full splice blanks . I buy my blanks from Schmelke , and Bell Forest . Also looking at some of Prathers .

I made Baxters cue out of a Duc Lamb blank , really a nice stick .

Thanks Jim

Hi Jim, it's refreshing to see a cue maker who is totally up front about their sources. I didn't realize Bell Forest sold them (I just looked them up and these are the Mark Bear blanks).

Few cue makers make their own - most are conversions or purchased.

Making full splice blanks is a thankless job with a lot of set up time, tiral and error, tooling, sawdust, and wasted wood. It's just not worth it unless a cue maker plans on producing large amounts of them.

Criss I am a retired ( last month )truck driver , 68 yr. old , and I dont have the ability or equipment or the time ,to make my own full splice . I admire the people that can .

It does not bother me to admit buying parts to assemble cues , puts me in the same class as many famous cue makers that bought there parts from someone else . Not mentioning any names .

Tom Coker has made them on request for me.
Usually Fancy Sneaky Petes ... and you don't have to
mortgage your home to own one.

full splice

I have a limited edition Jerry Olivier fullsplice. Dont know if he purchased the blank or made it himself. Sweet looking cue

Don't forget Ed Prewitt, he makes some of the longest prongs on a full splice I have seen.
