Gabe Owen Thread Removed? Mod please at least give me your thoughts

Soup, I said. SOUP FOR YOU! :p

its hopeless, i ended up with .....pizza which is very good here, vegetable , not greasy junk food.

Im back on Saturday and i'm getting a gallon on Matzo ball soup, i have he best Jewish Deli in LA down on Pico Bl i go to.

I did have this one soup here onetime that was a chicken broth with a pancake thing cut into strips in it, but that was 180kms away and i dont know what it was called. I dont speak german, i can read menu's and a few other things, but not very good. the tomato soup here in general is very acidic and my throat is sore. My phones are off im so sick. ugh!!!!

Please if you talk to Mary tell I will call soon as I get home on Sunday or Monday i'll ring her.

thanks Jam,

Poker tip #3 for Keith today, "Dont make any agressive moves out of position today, play tight", just a feeling i have :);)

My brother is in Cathedral City/Palm Springs, and 80 degrees there is like a cold front, according to him. He's used to 110 degrees.

He's getting ready to move to Phoenix. Met a lady! :love2:

110 is ok, i get irritable above that. i remember one day in Vegas 127 at my friends house and 125 at mine, it was so hot it didnt seem real.

I cant stand the cold, my body breaks down fast and i get sick, in the heat i can handle it no problem, funny how some people are the opposite. i have a friend anything over 50 he is done, sweating, red and dieing. i'm done below 60, i have to have it 77 on the low when i sleep, When I room with JA he yells "Its stifling in here big E!!!", ok "here have a Mountain Dew" and were one happy family....

cant get better than that, especially at night, 80 and humid<-----makes Fatboy VERY happy:):):):)

Not sure which DC JAM is lliving in, but it is 90+ on my side of town.

And the office AC is on the fritz...murphy's law. I am bringing shorts tmrw!

It's now 88 degrees at the time of this writing. :grin-square:

I hate to tell you this, but it's so cold in my house from the AC that I'm going to go turn it up to 78. My fingers are FREEZING. :o

Keith better save some cheesenips for tomorrow in his online account. I should have a $150 in there from Pimlico 2 weeks ago. :p

We got Belmont this weekend. I won a longshot at Pimlico, 15:1 bet, on the old-school jockey, Gary Stevens. ;)

If Calvin Borel gets the mount, I'm going with Revolutionary. You heard it here first! I'm lucky with horses. That's because I only bet 'em three times a year: Kentucky Derby, Pimlico, and Belmont!

funny how compressors die on the hottest day-that's automatic :(

it was in july of 97 or 98 i cant recall the year, i lived in that house for 2 years and was ALL-IN with a biz, no $ and working 24/7. think 98 was the year, that was the hottest day i ever saw in Vegas-nothing close. in 05 it hit 121 one day in my car, but it wasnt close to that day in 98

yeah but this thread is about coffee and heat waves now. check your REP:)

were not support to talk about anything else, which is probably smart.

so back to coffee, its too late at night now, i want tea:)

Apparently there is more than one Gabe Owen. I saw one where a guy named Owen got all tanked up with booze and beat his dog, Gabe, with an aluminum bat. This winner is facing cruelty to animals charges. Totally different set of Gabes' and Owens'

Yeah, kinda figured that... but the one in the news last, is usually the one that hits first, and when the kidnapper hit, I was shocked...the "other" Gabe was within a year or two of his age as well....but I'm glad it was not him.

Oh, btw I dislike coffee very much..... please continue :)

I don't understand why people like their coffee so hot that it gives third degree burns. When I get hot coffee, I use enough milk to cool it off, you know, so it doesn't hurt to drink it.

There's some sort of machismo associated with it, I think, i.e. "real men" like their coffee hot enough to melt steel. I don't get it.

them's fightin' words right now, i been in Germany for 2 months and had 3 warm days in 2 months, suppose to be beautiful here usually is ths time of year. i'm on my 2nd cold in 3 weeks(i never get colds), its freezing and raining here, lower 40's GRRRRRRR i'm a California boy anything below 60 and i got a problem.

can we please talk about coffee again:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Beautiful here near Virginia Beach, near 90 & sunny; has been for several days & supposed to be for several more...:)

Hey, Mabel, Black Label!

Oh, wrong thread!

What a dingbat Mabel was to be serving all that Black Label. She should have made them get it themselves. :p

You-all got any humidity down there? It's kind of steamy here in D.C. No wind!

It's not too bad today, only 43% but it will be getting bad soon I'm sure; there's been a pretty nice breeze the past few days too. Luckily, we have a pool so it's easy to stay cooled off.
