He broke down or went off into snow bank around Indy. Sat in car for hours until this guy got out of bed at 3 am. to find him. Johnnyt

Archer got stuck in a snow storm in the middle of nowhere in Indiana, and apparently stayed the night in his car. He is OK, but this guy who found him says his truck is "screwed up." That's not enough explanation for me. What happened to his truck? Is this the deductible, or is he not using insurance?
 
The Go Fund Me is not started by the guy who helped him, he is not asking for anything. Supposedly his vehicle got stuck looking for Johnny and it cost him to get it out of the snow and also some damage done. After his vehicle was unstuck he could have went home but instead went back out to look for Johnny and helped him out.
 
The same thing happened to me looking for Johnny. Where do i sign up too? Just so happens my kid's college fund got damaged in the search and i lost two house payments somewhere along the way....

But... Im extremely glad to hear they are both alright...

As OP stated, 4WD broke or went out. Wear and tear, not something you can file an insurance claim for.

Surprised that Johnny didn't offer to pay for the repairs as a way of showing his appreciation.
 
I was going to participate

I backed out when it came to giving your credit card information.
I would have used paypal, but that wasn't an option.

I'm just not comfortable giving my credit card information when i am not familiar with the entity asking for it.

Very gracious of the people who gave.
Hope the guy can fix his truck with the money raised.
Nice to see a good deed go unpunished.

Go Fund Me is just as secure as PayPal and very legit IMO.

I had a friend headed far south from Iowa and got caught in the winter storm but was lucky enough to be from the Midwest and knew how to handle his automobile driving thru the ice and show... He did say that there was cars that slid off in the ditch about every 10 feet for miles and miles..

Good to hear JA made it.

I just got off the phone with Johnny, between the night they had last night and having to get on a plane today to get home things have been hectic. He was actually on the plane when I spoke with him and told him about the Go fund me for $400. He asked me to post here and let everyone know that nobody needs to put their money in to fund this. Johnny is more than happy to make it right himself. He will be covering the $400. He also wanted to than everyone for their support for not only him but also for the kind man who went out of his way to help.

Exactly what I was going to post. If anyone ever comes out and helps me when I truly need it, I will cover all of your expenses.

I donated a little so if johnny helps the guy ...great but I don't mind helping a little more...

also on a side note. I am in the process of putting a exhibition and clinic tour. Looks like we will be in the area but not 100% but if we are Rodney will be getting a free clinic also if we are close enough for him.
