Guys,

I just got back from picking up a Gold Crown 2 from an estate. Its has never been recovered, still the original cloth from 1969. Owner had a box of white gloves next to table he required you to wear when playing on it. Complete with ball return, wall rack, original quote invoice and brochures. I am picking up some other mint GC stuff from a different person tomorrow...

Great table. Played a lot on GCII's in arlington va in the 1990's.
In pic 2 of the corner pocket, you can see how the rubber pocket liner ends
stick out into the pocket. This is common in GC's I,II,and III.
A good table mech will cut the liner back behind the pocket facing.
Left out, it can cause balls to hang or spit them out at speed.
It should play great. Great find and good luck

Wow, great find....

Reminds me of when I picked up my Anniversary in 1992, only it was recovered once since it left the original owners house.

It was all there like a time capsule, pristine original red pockets, moulded maroon/black gulley return system, rack on the wall with Tru Balance Cues, original 1953 Service Manual, etc.

I know the feeling, so cool...

NICE FIND!!
Is it me or has the cushions changed changed colors where the rubber meets the wood?

Again, NICE TABLE LUCK BOX! Since your luck is in a roll you should buy a lotto ticket. ONLY 1 tho!

Thanks for the comments guys. I just returned from picking up another lot of gold crown accessories. Check part 2 thread...possibly more rare than this stuff.

Yeah, its like the rubber discolored the cloth or something. I haven't pulled any of the rail cloth yet to see the rubber condition.

Only thing is the GC2 didn't come out until 1972, so how could the cloth have been on that GC2 since 1969?

Maybe I don't know what a gc 2 is? I thought it's adjustable feet was a give away? Can you confirm based on the undersides of the rails? I do know the deliver receipt shows 3/69.

GC2S were in production from 72'-74 GC1S ran from 61'-72' and all the changes that came out on the 2's, came out on the 1's first, including the adjustable leg levelers which came out around 63'.

Glen,

No it doesn't say GC2. I just made that assumption based on the little I thought I knew about the differences from a GC1 to a GC2.
