You are looking at the Unique Products Cue Maker with Taper Shaper add on. I will be changing the shaft taper bar, not anything wrong with thiers I just want my old own taper.

I like how you can flip taper bar to v grove ForeArms and can picture v grove on butt sleeves.

Tomorrow I finish tweak and start cutting big smaller. I don't fish so retirement brings me back to labor of love.

Congrats Tom.
You need a dust containment box Tom.
That room will get nasty fast w/out a dust box.
Put a pair of stoppers on that taper bar then set your own bar.
Been there done that.
Epoxy some metal sheet strategically under the router so you can use an indicator with magnetic base.
 
Joey, thanks for the tips. I was thinking of a 5HP shop vac connected to pvc with holes in it. Any suggestions and input more than appreciated.

Those two will get your shop so much more quiet.
Disposing of the dust and chips will be easier too.
You can also run the exhaust of that vacuum to outside of the shop.

Build an airtight box but with filter for incoming air.

You definitely want an enclosure to contain the dust, here is a pic of my enclosure I just finished for my Taper shaper. :smile:

I seen the enclosure Cue built for his and it cut the noise down to half or less as well.
 
I like everything I see. I think I will build mine from Urethane Foam, being light weight and more soud proof and apply a Hard Coat Polyurea inside and out. This would be the same type coating they use in theme parks to make Polystyrene rock like and hard.
 
I'd use Viagra paint instead Tom.
Hey, it is on the market, its true.
Just the other day I was at the bar and they were offering Viagra shooters.
The waitress told me she could pour me a stiff one.
 
LOL Blue Hog, I aint wasting my Viagra script on wood, my Dr. only allows me to have so many a month as it is. :smile:
