What color of felt do you prefer on a HOME TABLE? I understand that the blue is supposed to help with ball recognition for tv but what about at home. We just refelted and went from Blue back to good old Green. To start, I am a fan of the Green.

Green works for me

I like green because it's what I shoot on at home and most other places. Although, the blue does look very nice. Unfortunately for me, I don't have to practice for too many TV matchups. :(

I like the blue myself....Shooting pool for long hours seems to be easier on my eyes. Blue also lends a brighter surface to the table decreasing any shadows along the rails that may be caused with low lighting.

I played on the blue for my first time a couple years ago at DCC. I was surprised that I liked it, and if I get another table at home it will be the color I use.

green because the dip who's trying to shark you won't be comfortable saying, "lotta blue".

also, i don't know about everyone else, but you can't see the balls on that blue cloth.

There is not only Grass Green, I had more bri one. It's very good color for room and kids.

Sometimes we can try Blue Gray too.

Personally I'm a fan of tournament blue. I put it on my own table and have been very happy with it. I recommended it to the owner of a hall I frequent that had been using the standard green for nearly 20 years and he gave it a shot when he last had the tables recovered. Most players preferred it to the traditional green, but that opinion was not universally held. The table lights there are not particularly bright and I think that gives blue a big advantage in his room. The owner is happy, though I do not know what his choice will be when it comes time for new cloth.

I think the blue definately makes it easier to see the balls but from a pure looks standpoint of the table in general the green wins for sure. It matches up WAY better with the wood tones, the blue just clashes.

I thought about going with blue when I had the new table installed a couple of months ago, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Pool may be the only thing in life where I am a traditionalist. The cloth will always be Old Fart Green™; the four and twelve balls will be purple; the seven and fifteen will be maroon; the cue ball will not have measles, swine flu, or any other infectious disease.

I'm old school about most things pool related but I just got a table and I had the Simonis Tournament Blue installed. I really like it, maybe for the change of pace. I also realized that over time the blue has also sort of become the "other" traditional color.

I like green too. Who knows, perhaps I'll alternate whenever I get the table recovered. But for now I've no regrets at all. BTW, I don't think the blue clashes in the least. I like the way at looks against the wood and trim.

To me, the green stands for "comfortable" while the blue is more businesslike. Since I'm enjoying my time playing pool, I prefer green :-)

I'm with green. Traditional and it looks like a pool table should. With that said, I don't mind playing on blue. My favorite for tournaments is the camel color though. No shadows and the balls really stick out and are easy on the eyes.

I've got the tourney blue. Matches my room and looks/plays great.

I like them both, but the blue is my favorite right now

When I walk in a pool room I like seeing the old, traditional green cloth......It just seems to inspire me more....gives me that feeling that I'm walking into the past.

But....there is no question for me....I can definately see the balls better on the blue.....probably 10% better.

So I chose blue for my diamond 9 footer at home......

When I walk into the pool room with trditional green I immediately ask for a 10% spot to make up the difference...

Its funny most posts are for the green but the blue is winning in the poll slightly,I am a fan of green too.
