Gus Szamboti 70's

You must play with meucci
I've owned and played with a lot of cues including a Tad, GinaCue, Southwest, Joss West, Craig Peterson, Bill Schick, Robinson and a Schuler.

Iv'e never owned a Meucci but the times I hit balls with a Meucci and they were too wippie for me.

Whenever I have been asked about buying a cue I always say it's personal preference, buy the cue you like.

During the mid 60's, 80's Craig Peterson was a 'Highly Underrated' cue builder outside of the Chicago area!

I’m not reading 28 pages. Can someone summarize for me.
OP has an old Gus he thinks is worth twice what it is. He keeps butting up against those in the know, telling him his asking price / valuation is too high. He keeps insisting it’s not. 10 years later, he’s still got the cue, still insisting his valuation is solid. Still asking what the market looks like these days.

Check back next August for more of the same

You forgot that he's probably destroying the value of the cue with this thread.

You think I am asking twice what it is worth, meaning you think this fancy Gus is only worth $8,000? Seriously?

Well you're obviously not getting your asking price; you haven't for years, so what is the market telling you....? Whether it's 2x higher than it should be is less the issue. Most people on here have been telling you it's too high and you don't want to lower the price. You just make continual inquiries about the market. Lots of Gus' are selling quickly at asking price, but in addition to the cue being priced too high, you're hurting your reputation and high end buyers may not want to deal with you because of your behavior on this forum. At this point, your best bet is to turn to an AZ member who sells high end cues. He'll inspect it, suggest a reasonable price, take nice pictures, vouch for the condition, and the cue will probably sell quickly.
