I normally don't critique other people's work, but this was a joke. Not only did the guy HACK the cue, but still charged 15.00 for the tip job.

I fixed it....new ferrule and tip later...

please tell me this guy doesnt do cue repair as a business......he will starve to death.......that is the worst work i have ever seen.....

A great example of why I don't have a tube of glue within 25-feet of my cues, although even I could do better than that.

He put a nice taper on that ferrule, I wonder what you call it.

It would be really hard to do that bad of a job.

Beyond the point of no return.
And the customer paid for it? I do believe that if he has hung his shingle out for business that it might just be his last tip job, in that town anyway.

I'd be willing to bet that a blind person could learn how to do a better job with about a half hours practice.

Nice job on the fix up tho Randy. I think you just added one customer to your list.
What kind of tip is that?

You got to be kidding me i can see my sugar tree with that ferrule work don't to it.... was that an ivory ferrule. ahahahah I would be in jail if someone did that too my cue..... Is this a joke??? has to be.....

I think my 7yr old son could have done a better job than this hack did & he could have used the $15 for a Walmart visit to the toy section. Great job on the repair work Randy.

I guess that is one way to try out a smaller tip on your cue. Then when it is no good, just claim someone did a bad job for $15.
Looking at the ferrule, ( not the step down hack bit , ground on a bench grinder) looks a little on the suspect side anyway, so a new ferrule was due.
Hacks are great for business. We need more of them out there.

I had a tip/ferrule come to me like that once and to boot the repair man, whoever it was, had put a ferrule for a screw-on tip on his cue, filled the screw hole with epoxy and faced it, with a file I think and then installed a tip. It also had a Morse taper #2 on it, lovely.

The dollar will motivate some people to do things you would never dream of in broad day light !

I have a customer who thought he could change his own tips out using what appears to be the same method as this guy! After he TRIED to change out his 3rd tip and run out of shafts to play with, he asked me if i could fix them for him. I Replaced 3 ferrules and tips. I wish there were more people out there like him! It's guaranteed work for us!

Everybody has to learn somewhere! That guy needs to do some practicing.
