HAPPY 71st BIRTHDAY ERNIE GUTIERREZ

Today is Ernie's 71st Birthday so he will only be working 3/4 of a day (probably started early to make up for it) before he is off to celebrate.

The cue he is holding he built when he was 49.

If anyone wants to wish him Happy Birthday and sign their name, I'll be happy to force him to read this thread when he returns from a weekend of partying.

Thanks

Kevin

Happy Birthday to one of the greatest cuemakers of all time. I've had the pleasure of owning only one of your cues (late 60's 8-pointer)...but it has a phenomenal story behind it! So Ernie...what's with the DARK hair??? I'm 12 years younger, and have been all grey for 10 years! LOL Must be somethin' in the L.A. water! Hope you have a great 71st BD, and continue making cues until you're 100!

Happy Birthday

Ernie... You are definately one of the very best. Go have a special dinner and dessert tonight!!!

Happy Birthday Ernie! You're another year better!

I still miss my old 1960's Gina that was stolen (with my car) some 30 years ago.

Happy Birthday Ernie!!!! Truly one of the greatest and most innovative cue makers in the history of this sport that we all love.

Happy Birthday the cuemaker Ernie.wish you many more.

Ernie, working where I do, I meet people that almost shock me. They are almost 30 years your junior and look much older. I can honestly say you hide and hold you age very well. I'll give you easily 20 years. Are you sure you're not 50.

Anyway, have a great birthday and many more to come.
Terry.

Hope you have a magical day, my friend. Already sent you email wishes but saw this thread so had to post up. I was just a snot-nosed kid in the early 60's when I came to Greenleaf to order my first Gina, and all these years later it's still your lumber in my hand when it matters. Of course, now I have several to choose from, including that original Domino. :grin-square:

Hope to see you soon to order my next birthday present to myself.

Mitchell

Ernie thanks for the memories.
Bert Schrager took me to your shop, many moons ago.
He told me wanna go see a real cue maker.
I will always remember your hospitality and my visit to your shop, Barney

Happy Birthday Ernie! I still have every cue you have made for me and appreciate them as much as the day they were received. Thanks for the recent refinish on the 1st generation domino cue.
