Has anyone else seen the new series of articals on CTE by Roger Long?

No, I did a number of different things while in the Air Force -- like spend four years on a missile crew -- but meteorology wasn't one of them. ...
I was in Air Force meteorology, and I worked on weather balloon equipment, but my involvement was electronic, not oral. 30250 for those who know what that means. Lackland, Chanute, Kelly, Robins, Keesler, Tan Son Nhut.

You are right
On a billiard forum that will not make much sense to the majority of members.
Now the last word is a little different , I have heard many make the comment
that they had the Nhuts in a game lol

clarification of EXACT

For 3 years or so, I taught CTE and then PRO ONE. I was not able to describe the system in precise steps. That was frustrating and through determination I finally figured it all out.

Now, I am thrilled to say that CTE is systematic and EXACT. As I instruct I can tell a student exactly what to do visually and motor-wise.

I am very satisfied that an accurate description for CTE now exist. The description is EXACT. I thought this would be pleasing to serious students of the game that wanted such a description.

CTE/PRO ONE is a center pocket system. As humans, do we execute perfectly? NO, but there is an exact system to go by and center pocketing is a typical result of proper execution.

Is the system perfect? No. Are there adjustments at times? Yes.

And without a straight stroke and proper perception, success will be limited accordingly.

Stan,

To be truthful I don't know that I have any interest other than casual curiosity in CTE or Pro One for that matter. However, I recognize that you are a first rate instructor and you have always struck me as very honest and forthright on this forum.

I'll be very interested in anything you put out. Not because of CTE or Pro One but because you put it out. Of course I have made huge jumps in my knowledge unexpectedly and I do think I will gain from anything you produce so who knows, I may decide that CTE and Pro One are the greatest things since ice cream and bottled beer once I see your DVD.

If anybody's making too much of the word, it's CTE's main boosters.

Stan used that word to describe what he will "demonstrate" about CTE, and Spidey, who is apparently working closely with Stan on this, says very clearly that he believes (and can prove with math and CAD drawings) that CTE systematically puts the shooter within some tiny fraction of an inch of the exact aim needed.

I'm simply saying that very precise definition of CTE's "exactness" is baloney. Apparently you now agree with me. Welcome to reality.

Math is not my forte and I do not present math evidence of any kind on the DVD.

CTE is precise and you will see, if you choose to do so. It will take a little work, though.

Thanks, Hu. I am glad you'll have the chance to explore CTE and PRO ONE.

"Hairy red-neck" looks like a genuine article to me but who knows? I just thought it was funny that Hairy could spot you right off the bat. ;-)

Joey I've been reading the forums for over a year before I got an account. In that time all Lou does is post negative remarks.

was gonna be nice

I was going to be nice until I read post #135. If you have been reading for over a year and don't know that Lou is one of the finest posters on AZB when he chooses to be serious you are blind. I cherry picked a little over the last two weeks to select these:

Lou likes to make his own fun on occasion like most of us. He also likes to needle his pal Joey and Joey has been known to do a little needling himself. That doesn't detract from either's ability to post excellent technical information and stories when they choose. We are still waiting to see what you can produce of quality.

Thanks for the link, and now I understand why I have never been aware of it. I have never had to physically allow for squirt, or when using English I have always just aimed and made the ball no matter where I hit the cue ball. There was a name that the old timers had for this ability, oh I remeber now they called it GDL!!

Thanks for the link.

At least we can agree on that point. I've never had any use for people who uses multiple, anonymous aliases to snipe at posters.

I also don't have much use for posters who use anonymity as their shield just so that they can make disparaging remarks about any posters.

Yeah, I know. I'm easy to spot for what I really is.

Kinda like you :-)

Bob, in all the years I've known you, going back to the Bay Area where we went to school and the whole ACUI thing, I had no idea you were AF.

I'm with Hu on this one. If I look into your DVD, it won't be because of any intrinsic interest in CTE or Pro One, but more out of respect for your repuation in the industry and as an instructor.

I think, percentage wise, you are far, far ahead of me on the negative remarks thing. "Man in the mirror" and all that.

My father was in the Air Force and was a meteorologist. He served at Chanute in 69-71. I was born at Chanute's hospital in 1970. His name was Denney Riley.

There's no way you and my Dad knew each other. That would be just too cool for school. :)

I don't think it had anything to do with weather balloons but I suspect he was still blowing things.

hmmm, what to do, what to do...

OK, look Hairy-Redneck: the implied gay reference is as weak as it comes -- if you've spent any time on the Internet, you should know that.

Now, I'm guessing you're someone else here, who is just using an alias to say things you don't have the cojones to say in real life. I'd even go further to say that even under your "true AZ identity" you still hide behind an alias, instead of posting your real name. You come across as being that weak. And all that is OK by me -- it's part and parcel of the lunacy of the Internet and I'm good with that. Years on RSB have made my skin pretty thick and your grade school taunts are like water off a duck's back.

And soooo, I just thought I'd try and point out to you that you're quickly building up this body of "work" that is to be your forever AZ identity. So far, so bad -- you are coming off as a complete loser. And, given enough time and staying this course you will inevitably be booted.

So take it for what it's worth -- you can review your few posts here and see that you are far worse than anything you accuse me of being, or continue on the path you're on. Become a valued member of the tribe, or get sent out into the wilderness. You wouldn't be the first troll to get 86'd.

That would all be up to you :-)

Hu, thanks for the research and vote of confidence, though I doubt it'll have an effect of H-R, for obvious reasons :-)
