If moey is posted how can she change game and ask for a spot or anything else for that mater. Only in pool this kind of $hit happeneds. Johnnyt

Btw, it seems like they are playing 2 sets, 1 each day??? Are we betting on the first set or both sets? Prorate or not? "Up to you", as they say in Manila

Only read a few posts, but it looks like this is going down (?) and it looks like JL seems to be a 2:1 favorite over VV.

I'll take Vivian at 2:1, I will bet $500 (to win $1k) or $1k (to win $2k) if anyone is interested.

I don't think she is changing the game. I heard it was posted already and has benn for a while. It is rack your own and JL has elected to have someone else rack for her (I do not know who will rack but it be someone from the JL camp). She has a well known back issue and this will allow her to play for 8 hrs straight. As far as I know she is playing straight up other than the racking I mentioned.

So JohnnyT can I offer you a wager, something like 1-2, I will take JL for 2 you take VV for 1. I am betting on first day only right now. Be advised this is 2 seperate ahead sets each to 10 on two seperate 8 hour days. I would pro-rate if they do, if they play past 8hrs first day I go with that session result day one what the players do we do.

Also I would bet JL takes both sessions (only if both are played) I would bet 1 to win 2 on this if either session is won by VV I loose. If both sets are not played then bet is off. Can we do something JohnnyT?

I am from Indy so I like JL action only, besides she plays good real good in action. Go Widow.

Just a little sweat bet Roy. And I've won every time I've bet on Jeanette, so I'm switching horses here. I'll take VV for a dollar ($100) on each set they play at 2-1. You are betting $200 on Jeanette each set. Bet?
 
What's a brother gotta do to bet on VV around here...I want VV getting 2:1 on the dough...someone PM me, I like betting it this way.

Untrue. The conditions of the game have been set for some time. There have been no changes, and no one has requested any changes. The forum member suggesting otherwise has reading comprehension issues.

When was the last $80,000 or more mach-up in the US? I can't remember one in the last 7 years...men or women. Women Probably never. If this was promoted right it could be a big shot at getting the mainstream public into pool for the WPBA and the men's tours. I hope the boat is not missed again. Johnnyt

Vivian stepped up and played CJ Wiley many yrs ago for some pretty large cheese. I don't remember the amount or the final outcome (sorry), I just remember that there was a match between the two. Granted, that was about 15 yrs ago but as rackem said, don't count Vivian out. She's definitely got some gamble in her.

Williebetmore, what does the WPBA charge for sanctioning fees that will allow this match up to be streamed? I recently saw a post where it was mentioned that WPBA players are not allowed to play on streams and you pretty much confirmed that with the mention of sanctioning at the 14.1 tournament. Is there a flat fee or is it based on what they're playing for? I'm assuming those that plan on streaming this are aware of the sanctioning and that someone(s) between the streamers, players, & backers have this cost covered? Thanks.

Sorry, I can't help here. The issue of sanctioning is very complex. The few times it has been explained to me, I was left with the impression that it is often VERY arbitrary, depending on the decision of the board in the individual case. Sometimes it is per event, sometimes per player. Usually the fee is nominal; but if many players are involved (ie. CW's Mezz classic), they may decide to charge the promoter per player, making it impossible to afford.
